EDD Payment Delays: Haven't Received Benefits Yet. What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD payments. They haven't come through yet and I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced delays recently? Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact? I'm starting to feel pretty desperate here.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting on my payments for weeks now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? That's what I did, but it took forever to get through.

•I've tried calling but can never get through. How long did you have to wait on hold?

•Honestly, it was a nightmare. I was on hold for like 3 hours before I finally got to talk to someone. And then they couldn't even really help me 🤦♂️

•3 hours? You got lucky! I've been trying for days and can't even get put on hold. This system is so broken 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your UI Online account for any pending certifications or notifications 2. Make sure all your personal info is up to date 3. Double-check that you've reported any wages correctly 4. If everything looks good on your end, you'll need to contact EDD directly 5. Try calling early in the morning or late in the afternoon for better chances of getting through 6. If you can't reach them by phone, send a secure message through your UI Online account 7. Be patient (I know it's hard) and keep documenting all your attempts to contact them Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

•This is great advice. I'd also add: keep an eye on your mail. Sometimes they send important notices that don't show up online.

OMG the EDD is such a joke rn. I've been waiting for my payments for over a month! This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to survive??

•Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul. It's not equipped to handle the current situation at all.

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative? I've heard that sometimes they can help push things along with EDD.

•I did this! It actually helped. Took about a week, but my rep's office was able to get EDD to look at my claim.

•How do you even find out who your local rep is? 😅

•Just Google '[your city] state representative'. Should pop right up!
