Missed EDD call - What to do about claim status?
Hey everyone, I just missed a call from EDD. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm worried about my claim status. Any advice on what I should do next? Should I try to call them back or wait for them to call again?

Ugh, that sucks. EDD is such a pain to deal with. I've been there before. Have you tried checking your online account for any updates? Sometimes they post new info there even if you miss a call.

•Good idea! I always forget about the online portal. It's actually pretty useful sometimes.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call.

•I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about an hour, but I was able to do other stuff while waiting. Way better than being stuck on hold myself.

Pro tip: if you missed their call, try calling back ASAP. Sometimes you can catch the same agent who was trying to reach you. Good luck!

Ive been dealing with EDD for months now and its a total nightmare. They never answer calls, send confusing letters, and take forever to process anything. The whole system needs an overhaul tbh.

•Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help speed things up with EDD.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account for any new messages or claim updates 2. Call the EDD back as soon as possible (early morning is best) 3. If you can't get through, try the automated self-service line 4. Check your mail for any letters from EDD 5. Make sure your contact info is up to date in your account 6. If all else fails, consider using a paid service or contacting your local rep for help Don't give up! It's frustrating, but persistence is key with EDD. Keep us updated on how it goes!

Has anyone else noticed that EDD seems to be calling from different numbers lately? I almost missed a call thinking it was spam.

•Yes! I've noticed this too. It's so annoying cuz now I have to answer every unknown number just in case it's them.
