Missed EDD phone interview and got disconnected - What now?
I missed my phone interview with EDD and got disconnected when I tried to call back. Now I'm worried about my benefits. Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I do now?

Ugh, that sucks! The same thing happened to me last month. EDD's phone system is a nightmare. I ended up having to call like 50 times before I got through. Keep trying and don't give up!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Here's what you need to do: 1. Don't panic! Missed interviews happen all the time. 2. Try calling EDD first thing in the morning, right when they open. That's usually the best time to get through. 3. If you can't reach them by phone, send a message through your UI Online account explaining what happened. 4. Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them. 5. If all else fails, reach out to your local assembly member's office. They can often help push things through. Good luck!

Pro tip: if you call and the line is busy, keep hitting redial. Eventually you'll get through to the hold music. Then just settle in for a loooong wait. Bring snacks 🍿
