EDD Payment Issues & Dropped Calls - Need Advice ASAP!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my EDD payment. I got a dropped call when I tried to reach out to them earlier. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice on how to get through to someone at EDD? Also, if anyone has dealt with payment issues before, I'd love to hear about your experience and how you resolved it.

I found a way to solve EDD payment and call issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkvtxWrp7b8

Ugh, I feel your pain. EDD's phone system is a nightmare. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get help. 🤬

Seriously! It's like they're playing games with our lives. I've lost count of how many times I've been disconnected.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's always busy or I get disconnected after waiting for hours. 😩

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

$20? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone we should be able to reach for free.

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way faster than trying to get through on your own.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD payment issues: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and any correspondence. 2. Be persistent. Don't give up after one or two tries. 3. Check your online account regularly for updates or messages. 4. If possible, try to resolve issues through the online portal first. 5. When you do get through, ask for a reference number for your call. 6. If all else fails, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help expedite things. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. 💪

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records. Have you had success with contacting your assembly member?

0 coins

Yes, actually! They were able to escalate my case and I got a call back from EDD within a week. Definitely worth a shot if you're stuck.

lol welcome to the EDD circus 🤡 where the rules are made up and your calls don't matter

Have you checked if there are any notices in your UI Online account? Sometimes they send important info there that could explain payment issues.

Good point! I'll double-check my account. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Been trying to sort out a payment issue for 3 weeks now. This whole system is broken af.

3 weeks? Amateur hour. Try 3 months 😭

Ramen noodles and the kindness of friends, my dude. It's rough out here.

Pro tip: if you have Twitter, try reaching out to @EDD_CA_Alert. Sometimes they respond and can help escalate issues.

Does that actually work? I always assumed those accounts were just for show.

It's hit or miss, but I've seen some people get help that way. Worth a shot if nothing else is working.
