EDD Pending Payment Issue - What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with a pending payment from EDD. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what to do next or if I need to contact them. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, pending payments are the worst! I've been there before. Have you received any notices or letters from EDD about it? Sometimes they need additional info to process the payment.

ā¢Thanks for responding! I haven't received any letters yet, which is part of why I'm confused. Should I just wait it out or try to contact them?

ā¢If you haven't gotten any letters, it might just be a processing delay. But it couldn't hurt to try and reach out to them. Better safe than sorry, ya know? š¤·āāļø

ā¢Waiting it out can be risky. I'd def try to contact them ASAP. The longer you wait, the more of a headache it could become.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at EDD! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

ā¢I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration trying to get through on my own.

ā¢$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Is it really worth it?

ā¢For me, it was totally worth it. Think about how much time you waste trying to call them yourself. Time is money, right? šÆ

Pending payments can happen for a bunch of reasons. Here's what I've learned from my experience: ⢠Sometimes it's just a system delay and will resolve on its own in a few days ⢠They might need additional info from you (but usually they send a letter or message) ⢠There could be an issue with your claim that needs manual review ⢠If you recently reported earnings, that can cause a temporary hold Best thing to do is try to contact them directly. Keep all your docs handy when you call. And be patient, it might take a few tries to get through. Good luck!

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes there's more info there about pending payments that you won't get in the mail.

idk if this helps but I had a similar issue last month. Turns out I had accidentally put the wrong date for when I last worked on one of my certifications. Double check all your recent certs to make sure everythings correct
