EDD Nightmare: Connected to SDI instead of PFL, need help reaching correct department for claim status

Ugh, classic EDD mess. I swear they make it impossible to reach the right person on purpose. Have you tried calling right when they open? Sometimes that works for me.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Pro tip: If you get the wrong department, ask them to transfer you directly instead of hanging up and calling again. Sometimes they can do an internal transfer that bypasses the main queue.
