EDD callback fail - nobody on the line! PFL claim delay help?
Anyone else having issues with EDD callbacks? I just got one but when I answered, nobody was on the line. So frustrating! I've been waiting forever to get this PFL claim sorted out. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, that sucks! I've had that happen to me before too. It's like they're playing some sick game with us š Have you tried calling them back right away?

ā¢Yeah, I tried calling back but just got the usual automated message saying they're too busy. It's so frustrating!

ā¢Same here! I swear EDD is a black hole where all our calls and claims disappear š½

ā¢lol true that. Sometimes I wonder if there's even anyone actually working there š¤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure its legit?

ā¢Yep, 100% legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

ā¢$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken š¤

ā¢I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. For me, it was totally worth it to finally get my issue resolved

When did you file your PFL claim? I've been waiting for 6 weeks now and still nothing. Starting to lose hope š

Pro tip: try calling right when they open in the morning. I've had better luck getting through that way. Also, make sure you have all your docs ready when you do get someone on the line!

ā¢This! šÆ Also, be super nice to the rep when you get one. They deal with angry people all day, so a little kindness goes a long way

Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website is always "under maintenance" when you actually need to use it? It's like they're trying to make this as difficult as possible š¤¦āāļø

ā¢Nah, Windows 95 would be an upgrade. They're probably still using an abacus and carrier pigeons š¦

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for the past few months: ⢠Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. ⢠Document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. ⢠Use their online portal to send messages. Sometimes you get a faster response that way. ⢠If you're really stuck, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things through. ⢠Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important EDD emails end up there. ⢠Be prepared for long hold times. Use speakerphone and do other tasks while waiting. ⢠Double-check all your paperwork before submitting. One small error can cause big delays. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together šŖ

ā¢Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my state rep if I can't get through soon.

Anyone else feel like they need a degree in bureaucracy just to navigate the EDD system? šš¤”
