EDD hung up after answering continued claim call - What now?

Ugh, that sucks! The same thing happened to me last month. It's like they're playing some sick game with us 🤡 I ended up having to call back and wait on hold for another 2 hours. The system is so broken.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling back. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts. 2. Try calling at different times of the day. Early morning or late afternoon can be less busy. 3. If you have access to multiple phones, use them all to increase your chances. 4. Be persistent and don't give up. It's frustrating, but eventually you'll get through. 5. When you do get through, ask for a direct number or extension for future calls. 6. Document everything: dates, times, names of reps you speak with. 7.
