Payment issues with EDD - delayed or incorrect amounts. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my payments and I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else experienced delayed payments or incorrect amounts recently? It's really frustrating and I could use some advice on how to handle this situation.

Ugh, I feel you. I've been dealing with payment issues for weeks now. Have you tried calling the office? It's a nightmare to get through, but sometimes it's the only way to get answers.

ā¢Calling is the worst! I spent 3 hours on hold yesterday and still didn't get through. There has to be a better way š«

ā¢Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in 20 minutes last week doing that.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

ā¢I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there are messages or updates there that explain payment delays or issues. It's worth a look if you haven't already.

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting on backpay for 3 months now. No one seems to know what's going on. It's like they're playing games with our lives š¤¬

ā¢Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with payment issues for the past 6 months: ⢠Always document everything. Keep a log of who you talked to, when, and what they said. ⢠Check your online account daily for updates or new messages. ⢠If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing. Sometimes they respond faster that way. ⢠Double-check all your personal info and make sure it's up to date. ⢠If you're really stuck, reach out to your local representative or ombudsman. ⢠Join Facebook groups or forums specific to your state's unemployment system. Sometimes you can get insider tips there. ⢠Be persistent but polite. The people on the other end are often overworked and dealing with a broken system too. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. šŖ

ā¢Great advice! I'd add: if you fax documents, always follow up with a phone call to confirm they received them. Learned that the hard way š

LPT: Set up direct deposit if you haven't already. It's usually faster and more reliable than waiting for a check in the mail.

I'm so done with this. Thinking about just giving up and finding a job, any job at this point. The stress isn't worth it anymore.
