Payment not received this week - what to do when EDD fails to pay on time?
Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with my payment this week. It was supposed to come through but I haven't received anything. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? I'm getting worried because I have bills to pay and I'm not sure why it's delayed.

Ugh, that sucks. I've been there before. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes there's a glitch in the system and they need to manually push it through.

•I've been trying to call all morning but the lines are always busy. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have to wait on hold for a while, but at least you'll get through eventually.

•Or try calling at like 4:55 PM. Sometimes they stay a few minutes after closing to finish up calls.

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was an issue with my bank account info. Double-check that all your details are correct in the system.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes the payment notification ends up there for some reason.

•Good idea, I'll take a look. But I usually get a direct deposit, so I'm not sure if that would affect it.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to make a phone call. 🤔

•I get it, but think about how much time you waste trying to get through. Time is money, ya know? 💯

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your account online for any messages or alerts 2. Verify all your information is up to date (address, bank details, etc.) 3. Look for any recent changes in policy that might affect payments 4. If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing them 5. Document everything - dates you were supposed to be paid, when you tried contacting them, etc. 6. If it goes on for more than a week, consider reaching out to your local representative Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

•This is great advice. I'd add: if you email, use keywords like 'urgent' and 'payment delay' in the subject line.

Have you checked if there were any holidays this week? Sometimes that can delay payments by a day or two.

Plot twist: what if the payment actually went through but your bank is holding it for some reason? Might be worth giving them a call too.

•Ooh, good point. Banks can be sneaky sometimes.
