EDD payment delayed after sending paperwork - what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. I sent in all my paperwork weeks ago, but my payment still hasn't come through. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what I should do next? I'm starting to get worried about bills piling up.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been over a month for me and still nothing. The system is so broken 😤

A month? That's ridiculous! Have you tried calling them?

Yeah, but good luck getting through. I've been on hold for hours and then get disconnected. It's a joke 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so messed up that we have to pay extra just to get basic service 🤦‍♂️

I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through on my own.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's additional info they need that they don't tell you about.

This happened to me last year. Turns out they 'lost' my paperwork and I had to resubmit everything. It's worth double-checking if they received it all correctly.

Oh no, that's my worst nightmare. How did you find out they lost it?

I finally got through to someone on the phone after weeks of trying. They told me they had no record of my docs. Keep trying to call!

Here's what I've learned from dealing with this mess for months: 1. Document everything. Keep copies of all paperwork you send in. 2. Check your online account daily for updates or requests. 3. If you can, fax your documents instead of mailing. It's faster and you get a confirmation. 4. Be persistent with calling. Use the trick someone mentioned about calling right when they open. 5. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. 6. Join Facebook groups for your state's unemployment issues. Sometimes you can get insider tips. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process but keep at it!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice. I'll definitely try faxing my docs again.

anyone else notice how they always seem to 'lose' the paperwork when it's time to pay out? but they never lose the info when it's time for us to pay them 🙄

Hey OP, how long has it been since you sent in your paperwork? There's usually a processing time of a few weeks.

It's been about 5 weeks now. I thought that would be plenty of time 😕

Yikes, yeah that's definitely too long. Def time to start calling and checking your online account for issues.
