Filed weeks ago, still no money from EDD. What can I do?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated. It's been weeks since I filed my claim and I still haven't received any money. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to worry about how I'm going to pay my bills. Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been over a month for me and still nothing. The system is so broken 😡

•A month? That's rough. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

•I've tried calling like a million times but can never get through. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•I get it, but think about how much time you waste trying to call. For me, it was worth it to finally get answers.

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes there's info there about why it's delayed.

This happened to me too. Turns out they needed additional verification and never told me 🙄 Check your spam folder for any emails from them!

The whole system is a joke. They expect us to live on air while they take their sweet time? 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they don't understand people have bills to pay.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Keep calling. It sucks, but persistence pays off. 2. Check your online account daily for updates. 3. Make sure all your docs are in order and uploaded. 4. If you can, reach out to your local representative. They sometimes can help. 5. Document everything - dates you called, who you spoke to, etc. 6. Join Facebook groups for your state's unemployment. They often have good tips. 7. Be patient (I know, easier said than done). Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but you'll get through it.

Anyone else feel like they're playing unemployment roulette? 🎰 Never know if you're gonna hit the jackpot (aka actually get paid) or lose it all 😅
