EDD Payment Delay: Certified 2 Weeks Ago, Still No Benefits. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. I certified for unemployment benefits two weeks ago and still haven't received any payment. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to worry about bills piling up. Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact?

Ugh, I feel you. I've been in the same boat before. Have you tried calling the unemployment office? Sometimes there's a hold on your account that needs to be cleared.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was an issue with my identity verification. Check your online account to see if there are any pending tasks or messages from EDD.

•Good idea, I'll double-check my account. Didn't even think about identity verification issues.

The system is so broken rn. I've been waiting for 6 weeks and still nothing. This is ridiculous! 🤬

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait for the callback?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but it beats spending all day trying to get through!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account for any pending tasks or messages. 2. Make sure all your certifications are completed correctly. 3. Verify your identity if you haven't already (they've been extra strict lately). 4. If possible, try to contact them through email or their online messaging system. 5. Keep certifying every two weeks, even if you haven't been paid yet. 6. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there! The system is overwhelmed, but persistence usually pays off.

This might sound weird, but try reaching out to them on Twitter. I've seen some people get responses that way.

Make sure you're answering all the certification questions correctly. One wrong answer can delay everything.
