UI payment 3 weeks late - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment payment. It's been three weeks and I still haven't received anything. Is anyone else experiencing delays? I'm starting to get worried about how I'm going to pay my bills. Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact?

ā¢A month?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

ā¢Yeah, but I can never get through. It's like trying to win the lottery or something š

ā¢Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way

Three weeks is unfortunately pretty normal these days. The unemployment office is swamped with claims. Have you checked your online account for any updates or messages?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg

ā¢I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

ā¢How long did you have to wait after using the service?

ā¢It took about an hour and a half, but I was able to do other stuff while waiting for the callback. Way better than being stuck on hold myself

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

ā¢I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my local rep is?

ā¢Just google '[your state] find my representative'. Most have websites where you can submit inquiries. Good luck!

Okay, listen up fam. I've been through this rodeo before and here's what you need to do: ⢠First, double-check your online account. Make sure all your info is correct and there are no pending tasks or messages. ⢠If everything looks good online, it's time to call. Yes, it sucks, but it's necessary. Call early in the morning, right when they open. ⢠While you're waiting to get through, email your state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. ⢠Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every email, every piece of mail. You might need it later. ⢠If you're really in a bind, look into local food banks or rental assistance programs. Don't wait until you're desperate. ⢠Lastly, don't give up. The system is a mess, but persistence pays off. You got this! šŖ

Have you checked if there's a problem with your claim? Sometimes they need additional info and don't tell you š

ā¢I looked but didn't see anything. Where exactly should I be checking?

ā¢Log into your account and look for a section called 'Claim Status' or 'Messages'. Anything there?

ā¢Just checked again. Nothing there. Guess I'll have to try calling š©
