EDD Card Still Not Received After Weeks - Need Advice!
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated. It's been weeks and I still haven't received my unemployment card. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to speed up the process or who to contact? I've tried calling but can't get through to a real person. Starting to worry about bills piling up...

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. It took me almost 2 months to get my card! The system is so backed up right now, its ridiculous. Have you tried checking your status online?

•Yeah, I've been checking online every day. It just says 'pending' with no other info. So frustrating!

•I know, right? It's a total mess. I ended up having to borrow money from family just to get by. Not everyone has that option tho 😕

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! 😡

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

•Sure! You go to their website, choose the EDD line, pay, and then they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings. No guarantee, but it worked first try for me.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Email your local state representative 2. Contact the EDD through their social media accounts 3. Keep calling early in the morning, right when they open It's a pain, but persistence is key. Don't give up!

This is why we need to vote for better leadership. The whole system is a joke. 🤡

•Preach! 🙌 But let's not turn this into a political debate. OP needs real solutions.

Pro tip: If you're really in a bind, you can request an emergency payment. Call and specifically ask for a "manual payment" or "off-line payment." They can issue it while you wait for your card. It's not guaranteed, but worth a shot if you're desperate.
