3 weeks since filing claim, no update. Anyone else waiting this long for EDD?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my claim. It's been 3 weeks since I filed and I still haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else been waiting this long? I'm starting to worry that something went wrong with my application. Any advice on how to speed things up or at least get an update?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting for 5 weeks now and still nothing. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous. Have you tried calling them? That's what I'm gonna do next week if I don't hear anything.

•Good luck with that! I spent 3 days trying to get through on the phone. It's like winning the lottery if you actually talk to someone 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

3 weeks? That's nothing lol. I've been waiting for 2 months now. The whole system is a joke. I'm about ready to give up tbh.

Hey guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Like, do you have to give them your personal info?

•Nah, you just put in the number you want them to call and pay. They do all the waiting and menu navigation for you. When an agent picks up, your phone rings. Simple as that.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Be patient. The system is overwhelmed right now. 2. Double-check your application for errors. Even small mistakes can cause delays. 3. Keep all your documents organized and ready. 4. Use their online portal to check for updates if possible. 5. If you do call, be polite to the agents. They're swamped too. 6. Consider reaching out to your local representative if it's been an unusually long time. Hang in there, everyone. I know it's tough, but we're all in this together.

Has anyone else noticed that the online portal is down like half the time? It's so frustrating when I finally have time to check and I can't even log in 😤

•OMG YES! I thought it was just me. It's always "undergoing maintenance" when I try to use it.

•Pro tip: try using it late at night or early morning. Less traffic then.

Anyone know if there's been any news about speeding up the process? I heard they were hiring more people to handle claims, but idk if that's actually happening.

•I saw something about that on the news last week. They said they're training new staff, but it'll take time to see results.

•Yeah right, I'll believe it when I see it. They've been saying that for months now 🙄

Just a heads up, I finally got my claim processed after 6 weeks. Don't lose hope! It's slow, but they are working through them.
