Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. My payments got stopped because I submitted a questionnaire form late. It was over a month late, but I swear it wasn't my fault! EDD payments stopped since November - disabled and claim not processed. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I haven't received any unemployment payments since early November. I'm still disabled and can't work, but for some reason, my claim hasn't been processed. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Any ideas on what I should do next? I'm getting pretty worried about making ends meet.

This whole system is a joke. We pay into it our whole working lives and then when we need it, it's nothing but obstacles and delays. Makes my blood boil. 🤬

EDD requesting secondary medical exam - need advice on informing them about appointment
Hey everyone, I need some advice. The EDD wants me to have a secondary medical exam and I have to let them know I've made the appointment. Has anyone gone through this process before? What should I expect when I call them? Any tips on what to say or how to handle it?

Quick question - does anyone know if theres a time limit on how soon you need to schedule the secondary exam after they request it? I cant find any clear info on the EDD website
I think its like 30 days or something? But don't quote me on that lol
Pretty sure there's no official time limit, but they can suspend your benefits if you take too long. Best to do it ASAP.
EDD Overpayment Notice with 2 Jobs - Need Help Adjusting Claim
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I got this overpayment notice in the mail for my unemployment benefits, and I'm not sure what to do. I've got two jobs - one main gig that got affected by disability, and I'm also taking care of my mom who has dementia. The notice seems to include days where I wasn't at my main job but was still doing caregiving. I'm trying to figure out how to adjust my claim and determine if I actually owe anything. Hey OP, just a heads up - be careful about what you say to EDD. They can use anything you tell them against you. Might be worth talking to a lawyer who specializes in unemployment issues before you call them.
This 👆 Lawyers are expensive but could save you a ton in the long run. Some do free consultations too.

Just google your state and 'find my representative'. Most have forms on their websites where you can request help with state agencies. Worth a shot!
