have you tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk... but seriously, EDD's website is about as reliable as my ex 🙄
I'm in the same boat, OP. Extended leave, missing payment. It's like they don't want us to enjoy our time with our newborns without stressing about money. Hang in there!
Quick question - does anyone know if theres a time limit on how soon you need to schedule the secondary exam after they request it? I cant find any clear info on the EDD website
Pretty sure there's no official time limit, but they can suspend your benefits if you take too long. Best to do it ASAP.
yall ever wonder if the EDD just makes up these rules as they go along? 🤔 feels like every time I deal with them theres some new hoop to jump through
Hey OP, just a heads up - be careful about what you say to EDD. They can use anything you tell them against you. Might be worth talking to a lawyer who specializes in unemployment issues before you call them.
This 👆 Lawyers are expensive but could save you a ton in the long run. Some do free consultations too.
lol welcome to the club 🎉 EDD and their overpayment notices, name a more iconic duo 🙄
edd is such a joke these days 🤡 good luck getting anyone on the phone. i swear they're all "working from home" aka napping lmao
Cmon man, that's not fair. They're probably swamped with cases. The system sucks but don't blame the workers
found the edd employee 👀
Quick tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try contacting your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help push things along with EDD. Worked for me!

•Not helpful, dude. OP is looking for solutions, not negativity.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help cut through the red tape.

•I hadn't thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

•Just google your state and 'find my representative'. Most have forms on their websites where you can request help with state agencies. Worth a shot!
