EDD claim status - 3 weeks no update. What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I sent in my paperwork for my claim about 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back. I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for your claim to start after you sent in your documents? Any advice on what I should do next would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel ya. I was in the same boat a few months ago. It took them like 6 weeks to even look at my paperwork! The system is so backed up its ridiculous. My advice? Keep calling them every few days to check on the status. It's annoying but it worked for me. Good luck!

•6 weeks?! That's insane. I thought my 4 week wait was bad. This system is totally broken 😤

Three weeks isnt that long tbh. I'd give it at least another 2-3 weeks before really worrying. They're swamped with claims rn

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes they update the website before they send out any notifications. Might be worth a shot!

Listen up, I've been through this rodeo before and I've got some tips for ya: 1. Document everything. Keep copies of all your paperwork and note down every interaction you have with them. 2. Be persistent but polite. Call them regularly, but don't lose your cool. The person on the other end is just doing their job. 3. Check your spam folder. Sometimes important emails end up there. 4. If you're really stuck, reach out to your local representative. They can sometimes help speed things up. 5. Join Facebook groups or forums specific to your state's unemployment system. You can get real-time updates and advice there. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process but you'll get through it!

•Calling my rep actually worked for me! They got my claim sorted in like a week after I'd been waiting for months.

•Facebook groups are a lifesaver. I learned more there than from the official website lol

Guys, I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Nah, it's legit. I was skeptical too but I was desperate. It saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•Only about 30 mins! Way better than the 3+ hours I spent trying to get through on my own
