EDD paperwork 'pending review' since November - no updates, what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. My paperwork has been "pending review" since November and I'm starting to get really worried. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay? I haven't received any specific notices or letters about what might be causing this. It's been months and I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The Boss

Ugh, I feel your pain OP. I was in the same boat last year. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be persistent and keep bugging them until they give you an answer.

I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's like their phone lines are always busy or something. 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get lucky and snag a spot in the queue before it fills up.

Calling is useless tbh. I spent hours on hold and got nowhere. There's gotta be a better way

November?! That's ridiculous. The system is so broken, I swear. Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under EDD's butt.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda sketchy to me 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me so much time and frustration. Worth every penny imo

Can you give more details about how it works? Like, do you have to give them your personal info?

Nah, you just put in your phone number and they call you when they get an agent. No sketchy stuff involved.

Listen up, because I've been through this rodeo before. Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD, including dates and times. 2. Send a written inquiry through their online portal if possible. This creates a paper trail. 3. Reach out to your state assembly member or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping constituents with EDD issues. 4. If you haven't already, double-check that all your paperwork is complete and accurate. Sometimes a small error can cause major delays. 5. Consider filing a formal complaint if it's been more than 3 months without resolution. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let them forget about your case. Good luck!

I'm telling you, the whole system is rigged against us. They probably "lost" your paperwork on purpose just to make you give up. Don't let them win!

Cmon man, take off the tinfoil hat. It's more likely they're just understaffed and overworked.

Wake up sheeple! 🐑 It's all part of their plan to keep us down!

Hey OP, hang in there. I know it's tough, but try to stay positive. My claim was pending for 4 months before it finally went through. Sometimes it just takes time, unfortunately.

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds old school, but sometimes it can get their attention faster than online submissions.

What year is it, 1995? 🤣 But for real, if it works, it works!
