EDD Paperwork 'Pending Review' Since November - No Payments, Claim Not Processed
I've been waiting since November for my paperwork to be reviewed. It's been 'pending review' for months now. Because of this delay, I haven't received any payments and my claim hasn't been processed. The documents I provided from my doctor are just sitting there. This is really starting to affect my ability to cover basic expenses. Has anyone else experienced such long delays? Any advice on how to speed up the process?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been stuck in the same boat since October. It's like they're purposely trying to make us suffer or something. Have you tried calling them? I know it's a nightmare, but sometimes that's the only way to get things moving.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold for hours. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get through if youre one of the first callers of the day.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•How does it work exactly? Do you have to give them any personal info?

•Nah, you just put in the number you want them to call and your own number. They do all the waiting and menu navigation, then connect you when a real person picks up.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster. It's worth a shot!

This is ridiculous. The system is so broken. They expect us to survive without income for months while they take their sweet time 'reviewing' our paperwork. It's not like we're asking for handouts, we've paid into this system! 😡

•Preach! 🙌 The whole thing is a joke. They need to hire more people or something because this is unacceptable.

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research on dealing with long delays in paperwork review: 1. Document everything: Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and submitted documents. This can be crucial if you need to escalate your case. 2. Use multiple contact methods: Try calling, emailing, and using their online portal if available. Sometimes one method works better than others. 3. Check for errors: Review all your submitted paperwork for any mistakes or missing information. Even small errors can cause significant delays. 4. Seek help from an advocate: Many states have unemployment advocacy groups that can provide guidance or even intervene on your behalf. 5. Contact your local representative: As someone else mentioned, your state representative or senator's office can often help push things along. 6. Be persistent but polite: Keep following up regularly, but always remain courteous. The person you're talking to isn't personally responsible for the delay. 7. Consider legal aid: If all else fails and you're facing severe financial hardship, look into free legal aid services in your area. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails from them end up there. Just a thought!
