SDI payment delay since 10/20 - DE2525 & DE2593 submitted, no updates. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my continuing SDI claim. My doctor submitted the DE2525 form on 11/7, and I submitted the DE2593 form on 11/10. The problem is, I haven't received any payments since 10/20. It's been over a month now, and I'm starting to get really worried. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay? Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve SDI claim payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvbXVs4ykOs

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with SDI delays too. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I actually just got through to someone on the phone! It took forever, but I finally got some answers. Apparently, there was an issue with my doctor's form that they needed to clarify.

•Wow, you actually got through? 🤯 I've been trying for weeks! Any tips on the best time to call?

•I used this website called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when an agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous! The system is so broken 😤

•I know it sounds crazy, but after weeks of trying, it was worth it for me. Got my issue resolved in one call.

I had a similar issue last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check all your forms for errors. Even small mistakes can cause delays. 2. Contact your doctor's office to make sure they submitted everything correctly. 3. If possible, fax a follow-up letter to SDI explaining your situation. 4. Keep a log of all your calls and correspondence. Hang in there! It's frustrating, but it'll get sorted out eventually.

have you checked your claim status online? sometimes they update it there before they actually send out payments

•Yeah, I've been checking obsessively 😅 No updates there either. It's just stuck on 'pending' with no explanation.

This happened to me too! Turns out there was a glitch in their system that was causing delays for a bunch of people. Keep calling and don't give up!

Have you considered reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help expedite these things when the system is being slow.

•That's a great idea! I hadn't even thought of that. I'll look into it, thanks!

OMG I'm in the exact same boat!!! 🚣♀️ It's been 6 weeks for me and still nothing. This system is such a joke. How are we supposed to survive??

•Ikr? It's like they forget we have bills to pay. Hang in there, friend. We're all in this together. 💪

Pro tip: If you can't get through on the phone, try sending a message through their online portal. Sometimes you can get a response that way without the endless hold times.

I hate to be that guy, but have you double-checked that you're eligible for continued benefits? Sometimes they cut you off without clear communication.

•Yeah, I'm definitely still eligible. My doctor confirmed it when they submitted the continuing claim form. It's just a matter of getting it processed, I think.

Guys, I found a solution that actually works! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that calls SDI for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when an agent is available. It costs $20, but it saved me days of frustration. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I used it last week and it worked like a charm! Got through in about an hour instead of days of trying.

•Idk man, paying to talk to a government agency feels wrong. The system is so messed up 🤦♂️

•I get it, but for me, it was worth the $20 to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, you know?

This might sound weird, but have you tried faxing your forms? Sometimes the old school methods work better with these outdated systems lol

Hey Landon! I went through something similar earlier this year - had a 5-week gap in payments while they processed my continuing claim. The frustrating part is they don't tell you what's happening behind the scenes. A few things that helped me: - Called first thing in the morning (8 AM sharp) - seemed to have shorter wait times - Asked specifically about the status of both forms (DE2525 and DE2593) when I finally got through - Requested they put notes in my file about the call The good news is that when it finally got resolved, I received all the back payments in one lump sum. It's stressful waiting, but don't lose hope! The system is slow but it usually works out in the end. Keep us posted on how it goes! 🤞
