SDI Payment Delayed After DE2593 Submission - Possible Form Error?

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my SDI payment. I was supposed to get it on 1/27 but it still hasn't shown up. I submitted the DE2593 recertification form on 1/11, but I'm worried I might have messed something up on it. Has anyone else had delays because of errors on that form? I'm getting kinda worried about when I'll see my money.

Ugh, I feel ya. The SDI system is such a mess rn. I had a similar issue last month - turns out I put the wrong date on one of the sections. Took forever to get it sorted. Have you tried calling them?

I haven't tried calling yet. The thought of being on hold for hours is giving me anxiety 😫 Did you have to wait long when you called?

Omg don't even get me started. I was on hold for like 3 hours before I gave up. Then I tried again the next day and got through after about an hour and a half. It's ridiculous.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in 20 mins last week doing that!

I found a way to get someone on the phone without the wait. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

Totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your DE2593 form for any errors. Common mistakes include: - Wrong dates - Incorrect SSN - Missing signature 2. If you find an error, submit a corrected form ASAP. 3. Call the SDI office. Be persistent. Try early mornings or late afternoons for shorter wait times. 4. If calling doesn't work, try reaching out via their online portal or email. 5. Document everything. Keep a record of when you submitted forms, called, etc. 6. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help expedite these issues. Hang in there! The system is frustrating, but you'll get your money eventually.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely go through my form again and see if I can spot any mistakes. Really appreciate the help! 🙏

This is great advice. I'd add: take screenshots of everything you submit online. Saved my butt when they claimed they never got my form.

lol welcome to the wonderful world of government bureaucracy 🤡 I swear they make these forms confusing on purpose

Have you checked your bank account details on file with them? I had a payment delayed because my old bank info was still in their system.

Oh snap, I didn't even think of that! I'll def check. Thanks for the tip!

Guys I'm telling you, we need to organize and demand better from our government. This SDI system is broken af and we're all suffering. Who's with me? ✊

I'm down. This is getting ridiculous. How do we start?

Calm down, Bernie. They're doing their best with limited resources.

Limited resources? In California? Give me a break. It's about priorities and we're clearly not one of them.
