SDI claim stuck after doctor uploaded certificate - how long to process?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my SDI claim. The doctor uploaded the medical certificate, but it's still not processed. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for your claim to go through after the doctor uploaded the form?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last month. It took about 2 weeks after my doc uploaded the form for it to process. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

2 weeks?! That's so frustrating. I've been trying to call but can never get through. Did you just keep redialing?

Yeah, it was a total pain. I basically just kept hitting redial for hours. Eventually got through tho. Hang in there!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins of trying that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Idk man, paying to get through seems sketchy. Is that even legal?

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. They're just automating the hold process.

Can confirm, I've used it too. Worth every penny when you're desperate to talk to someone.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before they actually process the claim. Might give you an idea of where things stand.

lol welcome to the wonderful world of government efficiency 🤡 I swear they lose half the forms uploaded to them. Keep pestering them, its the only way to get anything done

Here's what I've learned from dealing with SDI claims: 1. Always keep copies of everything you submit 2. Follow up weekly if you don't hear anything 3. Use the online portal to check status updates 4. If calling, try early mornings or late afternoons 5. Be persistent but polite with representatives 6. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member for help Hope this helps! The system can be frustrating, but don't give up.

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my assembly member, hadn't thought of that.

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? 🤔 It's like they're hoping we'll just forget about our claims if they make it hard enough.

Preach! 🙌 I've been saying this for years. It's all a game to them.

Nah, I think it's just understaffed and underfunded. Still sucks tho

Hey OP, when exactly did your doctor upload the form? There might be a processing delay due to the recent system upgrade they did. I heard it's causing some backlog.

It was about a week ago. I didn't know about the system upgrade - that could explain the delay. Thanks for the info!
