Pro tip: If you're trying to reach a specific department, try these menu options when you call: 1. Press 1 for English 2. Press 1 for claim questions 3. Press 2 for employer questions 4. Enter your social security number 5. Press 1 to confirm This usually gets me to a human faster. Hope it helps!
Have you considered reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push your claim through faster. Worth a shot if you're really stuck!
OP, when did you file your claim? It can take up to 3 weeks for them to even start processing it. The whole system is a joke tbh
Anyone else notice that the wait times seem to get longer every year? I swear when I filed a few years ago it was way quicker 🤔

Has anyone tried reaching out on social media? I've heard some people have had luck getting responses that way.

•I tried tweeting at them once. Got a generic response telling me to call the same number I've been trying for weeks 🙄

•Facebook worked for me! Try messaging their page directly.

I feel your pain, OP. I was in the same boat last month. What finally worked for me was calling exactly at 8:01 AM and using the Spanish option (even though I don't speak Spanish). Got transferred to an English-speaking rep pretty quick. Good luck!

•Isn't that kinda unfair to Spanish speakers tho? 🤔

•I get what you're saying, but desperate times call for desperate measures. The whole system is unfair tbh.
