EDD payment held up due to doctor verification - claim expires tomorrow! Help!
I'm so frustrated. My unemployment payment is being held up because I couldn't get an appointment with the doctor for verification. My claim expires tomorrow and I still haven't received any money. I've tried calling the doctor's office but can't get through to anyone. Left messages but no response. What am I supposed to do? Has anyone else dealt with this?

I found a way to solve unemployment claim verification delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H9nbAbqQ8E

Ugh, that sucks. I've been there too. The whole system is a mess. Have you tried calling the unemployment office directly? Sometimes you can get lucky and reach someone who can help.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have a better chance of getting through.

•Calling when they open doesn't always work. I've tried that and still got nowhere. The system is just broken 😡

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's a rip-off. The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Was worth every penny to finally get my issue resolved.

•How long did you have to wait once the call was connected?

•It took about an hour and a half total, but I didn't have to actively wait on hold. The service called me when an agent was on the line.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

This is why the whole system needs an overhaul. It's ridiculous that people can't access the benefits they're entitled to because of bureaucratic nonsense. We need to put pressure on our lawmakers to fix this mess.

•Yeah, but good luck getting politicians to care about us little guys. They're too busy lining their own pockets. 🙄

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, messages, and attempts to reach the doctor and unemployment office. 2. File an appeal immediately. Even if your claim expires, you can still appeal the decision. This buys you more time. 3. Contact your state representative and senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping with unemployment issues. 4. Look for legal aid in your area. Many offer free assistance with unemployment claims. 5. Check if there are any emergency extensions or special provisions due to COVID that might apply to your case. 6. Keep trying to reach the doctor's office. If possible, go in person to schedule an appointment. 7. Consider using a paid service to get through to unemployment if you can afford it. Don't give up! The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off eventually.

•This! I had to do this once. Sat in the waiting room until they agreed to see me. It was awkward but it worked.

Is anyone else sick of how the unemployment system treats us like we're trying to scam them? We're just trying to survive here. It's not our fault the economy is a dumpster fire. 🔥

•For real. They act like we're living the high life on unemployment. Like, bruh, I'm just trying to keep a roof over my head. 🏠

•It's because a few bad apples spoil the bunch. There are people who do try to scam the system, which makes it harder for the rest of us.

•Doesn't matter. The system should be designed to help people, not to catch a few cheaters at the expense of everyone else.
