Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Hey, not sure if this helps, but I had a similar issue last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system affecting people who filed in July. Might be worth mentioning that specifically when you talk to them.

This might sound weird, but check your spam folder. I once had an important EDD notice end up there. Also, make sure your address is up to date in their system.
OP, any updates? Did you manage to get through to anyone or figure out what's going on with your payment?
Not yet, but I'm going to try calling tomorrow morning. If that doesn't work, I might try that claimyr service someone mentioned.

Quick question - does anyone know if updating the employer contact info affects the claim in any way? Like, does it delay payments or anything?
Nah, you're good. It's just updating contact info, shouldn't affect your payments at all. I did it last year, zero issues.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure your contact info is up to date in your account.
This is why we need universal basic income. The current system is clearly not working for people when they need it most. 😤
UBI would just make people lazy. We need to fix the current system, not replace it with handouts.
Ok boomer 🙄 UBI isn't about handouts, it's about providing a safety net so people can actually live while dealing with bureaucratic nightmares like this.

Has anyone else noticed that their claim status changes randomly? Mine went from 'paid' to 'pending' and back again without me doing anything. EDD's system seems buggier than a summer campground.

Pro tip: If you do get through, ask them to put notes on your account about the call. It helps if you need to follow up later and proves you've been trying to resolve the issue.
