EDD certification issue: Back-to-work date changed to 10/14 after online certification. Will I still receive payments?
Hey everyone, I just certified online for my unemployment benefits, but I'm a bit worried. The new period timeframe changed my back-to-work date to 10/14. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm just trying to make sure I'm still good to receive my payments. Any advice would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve EDD certification date change issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbuSTFGN_QY

I had the same issue last month! Don't worry too much about it. As long as you certified correctly, you should still receive your payments. The system sometimes updates dates automatically, but it doesn't usually affect your eligibility.

Thanks for the reassurance! Did you have to do anything special to make sure your payments came through?

Nope, I just certified as usual and everything worked out fine. Just keep an eye on your account for any updates or messages from EDD.

This happened to me too! I freaked out at first but it all worked out in the end. The EDD system is so confusing sometimes š

Ugh, the EDD is always changing things without proper explanation. It's so frustrating! I've been dealing with them for months now and it feels like swimming upstream.

Tell me about it! š I swear they make it complicated on purpose. Anyone else feel like they need a law degree just to understand their unemployment benefits?

lol true that. I've spent more time trying to figure out EDD than actually looking for a job at this point š

Hey guys, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone at EDD. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Is it legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration!

$20 seems steep just to talk to someone. The system is so broken if we have to pay extra just to get basic service š¤

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issues resolved. Time is money, you know?

Here's what I've learned about EDD certifications and payments after dealing with them for over a year: ā¢ Always certify on time, even if there are issues with your claim ā¢ Double-check all information before submitting ā¢ Keep detailed records of your job search activities ā¢ If your back-to-work date changes, it's usually just a system update and doesn't affect your eligibility ā¢ Check your EDD inbox regularly for important notices ā¢ If you have concerns, try to contact EDD directly (though I know it's tough to get through) ā¢ Remember, most issues resolve themselves within 1-2 payment cycles Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed info! It's really helpful. Quick question - how often do you usually certify?

You're welcome! Typically, you certify every two weeks. Set a reminder on your phone so you don't forget!

Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website is always down for maintenance when you need it most? It's like they WANT us to miss our certification deadlines š

Guys, I'm in the same boat. Been on unemployment for 3 months now and every week is a new adventure in bureaucratic nonsense. Hang in there, we're all learning the ropes together! šŖ
