ESD claim stuck in 'processing-web' status for days - not showing paid yet
I filed my weekly claim 3 days ago and it's still showing 'processing-web' status in my ESD account. Usually my payments would show 'paid' by now, but nothing's changed. Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing delays right now? I'm getting worried because rent is due next week and I was counting on this payment. What does 'processing-web' actually mean and how long should I expect to wait before panicking?

'Processing-web' means your claim is being processed through their web system and hasn't been finalized yet. This is actually pretty common and can happen for several reasons: 1. ESD is experiencing higher volume than usual 2. There might be a holiday delay (if there was a recent holiday) 3. Something triggered a review of your claim 4. System delays on ESD's end In my experience, this status typically resolves within 3-5 business days. If it goes longer than a week, that's when you might want to contact ESD directly. Don't worry too much yet!

•Thanks for explaining! No holidays recently so must be one of the other reasons. I'll try to be patient for a couple more days, but it's stressful when you don't know if something's wrong or just delayed.

•Did you ever find out why it was delayed for so long? I'm curious if they gave you any explanation when it finally processed.

'Processing-web' typically shouldn't last more than 3-5 business days. There are a few things you can check: 1. Look for any alerts or messages in your eServices account 2. Check if any information is needed from you (sometimes there's a questionnaire you need to complete) 3. Verify your job search activities were properly reported 4. Make sure your identity verification is still valid If you're approaching day 5 with no change, you should definitely try to contact ESD. The processing-web status often means they're verifying something specific about your claim, but they don't always tell you what they're reviewing.

•I double-checked everything in my account and don't see any alerts or tasks I need to complete. My job search activities are all logged correctly too. I guess I'll have to try calling if it doesn't update by Friday.

this happens to me ALLL the time lol. sometimes it just randomly sticks on 'processing-web' and then suddenly changes to paid. ESD systems are glitchy af. just wait it out, it'll probably fix itself. the longest mine ever took was like 9 days but i still got paid eventually

•9 days?! That's so long to wait without knowing what's happening. Thanks for sharing your experience though, makes me feel a bit better knowing it's not just me having this issue.

If you need to contact ESD about this, good luck getting through on their phone lines. I spent three days trying last month for a similar issue. After getting disconnected constantly, I found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually got me connected to an ESD agent within about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 The agent told me that 'processing-web' statuses that last longer than 3-4 days usually mean there's something unusual about your claim that week that needs manual review. Could be a wage discrepancy, a new employer reported something, or just random selection for review.

•Thank you for this suggestion! I've been dreading having to call because I've heard how impossible it is to get through. If it doesn't update by tomorrow I might try this service.

Is this ur first time filing? Cuz sometimes new claims take longer to process. Or did u report any earnings this week? That can slow things down too. Or did u do something different with job search activities? Sorry for all the qs just trying to narrow down what might b causing it

•No, I've been claiming for about 2 months now. And I didn't report any earnings or do anything different with my job search activities. That's why it's so confusing! Everything was exactly the same as previous weeks when my payments processed normally.

watch out they might be putting you in adjudication without telling you. happened to me and i was stuck for WEEKS with no pay. check if theres anything about adjudication on ur account

•This is actually an important point. 'Processing-web' and 'adjudication' are different statuses in the ESD system. If you don't see the word 'adjudication' anywhere, you're probably not in that process. But if your status changes to adjudication or mentions 'fact-finding,' that's a more serious delay that requires attention.

Update: My payment just switched from 'processing-web' to 'paid' this morning! Took 4 business days total. The funds should be in my account tomorrow according to the payment details. Looks like it just needed extra processing time for some reason.

I just wanted to share an update - my claim that was stuck in 'processing-web' finally moved to 'paid' status today, after 5 business days. I never received any explanation for the delay, but the payment amount looks correct. Hope this helps anyone else experiencing similar delays!

•UPDATE: Mine finally changed to 'paid' status this morning! So it took 6 business days total. No explanation given, but I'm just relieved it went through before rent was due. Thanks everyone for your help and advice!
