mine is late too but i'm on standby status so i don't have to do job search i wonder if that makes a difference? anyone else on standby having delays?
UPDATE: It finally processed and I got paid. It was just a day later than normal. Thanks everyone for the reassurance and suggestions! I was getting worried for nothing. For anyone else experiencing delays, it seems like it's just taking ESD a bit longer than usual this week.
Just curious - did you select "laid off" as your reason for separation from your current job? Sometimes people accidentally select the wrong reason which creates unnecessary adjudication.
One more thing to note - if your claim goes to adjudication, you'll likely receive a fact-finding interview request. This could be a phone call or questionnaire. Be completely honest, but frame your reasons clearly. For the job after your father's passing, emphasize the emotional impact and inability to perform work duties effectively. For the job you left for better opportunities, detail the specific improvements in pay, benefits, and working conditions. Most importantly, respond to ALL ESD communications promptly. Missing a fact-finding deadline can result in automatic denial.
Thank you for this advice! I'll keep a close eye on my mail and ESD account for any communications. If they do schedule a fact-finding interview, is it usually by phone or in person?
Most fact-finding interviews are conducted by phone. They'll schedule a specific date and time window when an adjudicator will call you. Make sure your phone accepts calls from unknown/blocked numbers during that time. If you miss the call, they typically try one more time before making a decision based on available information.
Yes, definitely inform OAH that you're awaiting documents from a public records request. You can request that they schedule the hearing with enough time for you to receive and review those documents. They're generally accommodating with this type of procedural request.\n\nIf the hearing gets scheduled before you receive your documents, you can also file for a continuance (postponement) based on waiting for essential documentation. Just be sure to file that request as soon as you get the hearing date, not at the last minute.
One thing I'd suggest is checking if there are any messages in your ESD account that might have been missed. Sometimes they send requests for information that don't trigger email notifications. Also, make absolutely sure you're doing your weekly claims even while in adjudication! If you miss those, you could lose those weeks of benefits even after approval.
Thanks for the reminder about weekly claims. I've been doing them religiously and documenting my job search activities meticulously. I've triple-checked my ESD account messages - absolutely nothing there requesting information from me. It's like they've just put my claim on a shelf somewhere and forgotten about it.
have u tried the message center in ur esd account? sometimes they respond there faster than phone. also try calling exactly at 8am and hit option 2 then 3 in the menu, worked for me last month

my buddy had the same issue and it turned out they needed some document he didn't know about. maybe check your eservices account for any alerts or documents needed section?

•Thanks for the suggestion. I've been checking eServices daily - the only thing showing is the same adjudication status since November. No alerts, no document requests, nothing. That's what makes it so frustrating.

One important thing to know: When your claim is finally approved, you'll receive all the back payments for the weeks you've been filing. Make sure you're completing your weekly claims consistently and meeting the job search requirements (3 documented job search activities per week). To expedite your case beyond contacting the governor's office, you can: 1. Submit a hardship letter through eServices detailing your financial situation 2. Request an escalation to a Tier 3 specialist when you do reach someone 3. Ask specifically if there are any documents or information missing that's causing the delay Another approach some claimants have had success with is contacting their local WorkSource office. While they don't process claims directly, they sometimes have direct channels to ESD staff who can look into claim issues.

•Thank you for this detailed advice. I've been doing my weekly claims religiously. I'll try the hardship letter approach - at this point I'm willing to try anything. And I'll check with the local WorkSource office tomorrow morning.
