ESD payment stuck in 'processing' status - usually deposits Wednesday but nothing today

Is anyone else having delayed payments this week? I filed my weekly claim Sunday night like usual, but it's still showing as 'processing' on the ESD website. Normally my funds hit my bank account by Wednesday morning at the latest, but nothing's come through today (Thursday). The status hasn't even changed to 'paid' in the system yet. No messages about issues with my claim or anything in my ESD inbox. Getting worried since I've got rent due Monday and this has never taken so long before. Anyone else experiencing this delay or know what's going on?

Mine is delayed too!! Filed Sunday afternoon and still says processing. Usually by Tuesday afternoon it says 'paid' and I get the deposit Wednesday morning. I called the claims center and got the 'high call volume' message after waiting 45 minutes. This is making me panic cause I've got car payment tomorrow.

There's a system-wide delay this week. I called the technical support line (not the regular claims line) and they confirmed they're experiencing processing delays due to a software update they implemented Tuesday night. The rep said all claims filed this week should be processed by tomorrow (Friday) and payments should go out by Monday at the latest. They're working through a backlog. Don't panic yet!

Thank you for this info! How did you even get through to an actual person? I've tried calling 3 times today and couldn't get past the automated system. Did you call a different number than the main claims center?

I've had this happen twice before - both times it took EXTRA long but eventually processed. So annoying they never communicate about these delays on their website!!! Just leaves us all panicking!!

Getting through to ESD can be frustrating when you need answers about payment delays. I was dealing with this exact issue last month and got stuck in their phone queue for hours. Just looked at that video - does this actually work? I'm desperate at this point. Did you have to provide a lot of personal info? I'll probably try calling one more time on my own tomorrow morning, but if it's still stuck I might try this.

It worked for me. You just need your claim info ready when you do get connected to ESD (not for the service itself). I was skeptical too, but with rent coming up I couldn't wait another week for payment. The agent I spoke with actually said they were aware of the delay issue and had a way to manually release payments for people with urgent financial needs.

This is happening because ESD upgraded their payment processing system on Tuesday. There should be an announcement about it if you scroll all the way down on your eServices dashboard (easy to miss). The announcement says all delayed payments will be processed by end of day Friday with deposits occurring Mon-Tues next week depending on your bank. Important: If your claim is still showing as 'processing' by Monday morning, THEN you should call in because it might indicate a different issue with your specific claim. But for now, this is affecting thousands of claimants and isn't specific to your claim.

Thank you! I totally missed that announcement. Just checked and you're right - it's way at the bottom of the dashboard page. Makes me feel better knowing it's not just my claim. Will wait until Monday before panicking more.

I had this happen last month and it turned out I accidentally answered one of the questions wrong on my weekly claim (said I wasn't available for work on one day when I meant to say I was). Double-check your claim answers if it doesn't resolve by Monday!

Quick update: My payment just switched from 'processing' to 'paid' about an hour ago. Hopefully everyone else's will update soon too. Looks like they're working through the backlog as promised.

If it doesn't change by tomorrow afternoon, check if you have any alerts in your ESD inbox. Sometimes they need additional information before releasing payment, and the system update might have delayed those notifications as well. Hang in there!
