ESD payment showing 'processing-web' status on Wednesday - usually paid by now
Hey everyone, getting a bit anxious here. I filed my weekly claim on Sunday night like usual, but it's now Wednesday afternoon and my payment still shows 'processing-web' status. Normally the money hits my account by Wednesday around 2-3pm at the latest. Has anyone else noticed delays with this week's payments? Nothing has changed with my claim - same job search activities, no new employers, nothing different at all. Is ESD experiencing some kind of system delay this week? Starting to worry because rent is due Monday and I'm cutting it close...

mine is still processing too! usually get it wed morning but nothing yet. freaking out bc i have autopay bills set for tomorrow :/

This happened back in March too. There's occasionally processing delays that affect everyone, especially around the end of quarters or when they're doing system maintenance. If nothing has changed with your claim (no new employers, no adjudication issues), it's very likely just a system-wide delay. Your payment should process by tomorrow or Friday at the latest. ESD doesn't always announce these delays on their website until after people start complaining.

Have you checked if there's an adjudication issue? Sometimes they don't notify you and it just shows as processing. Log into your eServices account and click on the "Pending Issues" tab to see if anything new popped up. That happened to me last month - thought it was just delayed processing but turned out they had a question about my job search activities.

•Just checked and there's nothing under Pending Issues. Everything looks normal except for the payment status. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I used to have this problem CONSTANTLY and it drove me crazy because I could never get through to ESD to find out what was happening. I started using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an agent instead of waiting on hold forever. They have this system that holds your place in line and calls you back when an agent is available. THE SYSTEM IS RIGGED!!!!! They deliberately delay payments every few months to earn interest on OUR MONEY for a few extra days. Multiply a 2-day delay by thousands of claimants and they're making bank while we stress about bills. I've been through 3 unemployment claims in 5 years and they ALWAYS pull this garbage. Don't believe the "system maintenance" excuses.

•That's not accurate. ESD is a government agency, not a bank. They don't earn interest on held funds. Delays happen because their systems are outdated and they're understaffed. It's inefficiency, not conspiracy.

I'm having the same issue but mine says "processing-web-monetary" instead of just "processing-web" - are those different statuses? I tried googling but couldn't find an explanation of the difference. This is my first unemployment claim so I'm still figuring everything out. Has anyone seen the "monetary" status before?

•"Processing-web" means your weekly claim is being processed after being submitted online. "Processing-web-monetary" usually means they're verifying some aspect of your monetary eligibility. They're similar stages but the monetary tag suggests they're double-checking your benefit amount or wages. Both are normal processing statuses.
