Weekly payment stuck on 'Processing-Web' status - ESD delay?

I filed my weekly claim on Sunday like I always do, but it's Thursday now and my payment is still showing 'Processing-Web' in the ESD portal. Usually by Tuesday the money is in my account. Has anyone else noticed a delay with this week's unemployment payments? This is week 7 of my claim and I've never had this issue before. Getting worried since rent is due soon and I was counting on this payment.

At least I'm not alone! Have you tried calling ESD to ask what's going on?

This happens sometimes. ESD probably has a processing backlog or system glitch. I wouldn't panic unless it's still showing Processing-Web by next Monday. Sometimes they do big batches of claims all at once instead of processing them daily.

Thanks, that's reassuring. Has it happened to you before? How long did it take to resolve?

Yeah, had it happen twice last year. One time it fixed itself after 2 extra days, another time took almost a week. If you really need the money now though, might be worth trying to get through to an agent to see if they can push it through.

There was an announcement on the ESD website yesterday about a technical delay affecting some payments this week. They're supposedly working to fix it, but I'd recommend calling to check on your specific claim. The system might need a human override to process properly. If you have trouble getting through (which is likely), I recently used Claimyr to get connected to an ESD agent in about 20 minutes instead of spending hours redialing. Their site is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. Saved me a ton of stress when I had a similar payment delay issue.

Is that service legit?? I've been trying to get through to ESD for THREE DAYS about my standby status and keep getting disconnected!!

Yes, it's legitimate. I was skeptical at first, but it actually worked. Instead of me having to redial 50+ times, their system does the calling and holds your place in line. When they reach an agent, they connect you. Saved me from going crazy with the constant busy signals and disconnects.

SAME ISSUE HERE!!! My payment has been stuck in Processing-Web for 3 DAYS now!!! This is RIDICULOUS!! I have bills to pay and ESD just sits on our money whenever they feel like it. I bet if we were late filing our weekly claims they'd disqualify us immediately, but they can be as late as they want paying us. The double standard is infuriating!!

ESD Claims Specialist here. The 'Processing-Web' status means your weekly claim is in the payment queue but hasn't been fully processed yet. This can happen for several reasons: 1. High volume of claims being processed that week 2. Random verification flag on your account (happens periodically) 3. System maintenance or technical issues 4. A potential issue that needs adjudication If it's been more than 3 business days, I recommend calling the claims center. Be prepared with your claim ID and the week ending date for the payment in question. They can see exactly where in the process your payment is stuck and potentially expedite it. Also, make sure you've completed all your weekly job search activities correctly, as missing or incomplete job search logs can cause payment delays.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! I definitely did my job search activities (3 per week) and logged them all. I'll call tomorrow morning if it doesn't process overnight.
