TWC website down today? Can't access my unemployment account

Is anybody else having issues logging into their TWC unemployment account today? I've been trying to submit my payment request since 7am and keep getting an error message saying "System temporarily unavailable" or sometimes it just freezes on the loading screen. I need to get this done today or I'll miss my filing window! Already tried different browsers (Chrome and Edge) and even my phone. No luck at all. Anyone know if there's a scheduled maintenance or if the TWC website is just down?

That's exactly my problem! My filing day is today, and I can't afford to miss it. Has this happened before? Do they usually extend the deadlines when their system is down?

OMG SAME!! I've been trying since 6:30 this morning and nothing works! Called the automated line and it's also giving me errors. This is SO TYPICAL of TWC - always breaking down right when we need it most!!! My bills are due next week and I CANNOT miss this payment request. Anyone know if they have a backup system?

Deep breath. This happens sometimes - their system gets overloaded, especially at the beginning of the month. Try calling the Tele-Serv line at 800-558-8321 if you absolutely need to submit today. Sometimes the phone system works when the website doesn't. Also, TWC does have a policy about system outages affecting deadlines - if their system is officially down, they typically extend the deadline by 24 hours, but you'll need to document your attempts to file today just in case.

This happened to me last month too. Their system seems to crash a lot lately... I missed my filing day and had to call them every day for a week to finally get someone to help me. Lost a week of benefits because of it. So frustrating.

Oh no, that's exactly what I'm worried about! I can't afford to lose a week of benefits. Did they give you any explanation for why they wouldn't backdate it if their system was down?

I work in IT and I'm also on unemployment right now. From what I can tell, the TWC system is experiencing major server issues today. It's not just the unemployment portal - the whole TWC website seems to be having intermittent outages. I checked their Twitter account and they haven't posted any updates about the outage yet, which is pretty frustrating. For those who need to submit payment requests today: keep trying periodically. These outages typically get resolved within 24 hours. If you're concerned about missing your request window, take screenshots of the error messages as evidence that you tried to submit on your assigned day. This documentation can help if you need to appeal later.

Thanks for checking Twitter too - I didn't think of that! I've been taking screenshots of every error. Do you think I should try again tonight or just wait until tomorrow morning?

I'd recommend trying again tonight around 10pm-12am when server traffic is typically lower. Many government systems run maintenance routines overnight, so that's when they might deploy fixes as well. If it's still down tomorrow, you'll definitely want to start trying to reach a representative directly to document your attempts.

If you need to reach TWC urgently about this issue, I'd recommend using Claimyr to get through to an agent. I was in a similar situation with the system being down during my filing period last month, and after trying for hours to get through the regular phone lines, I tried Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got connected to a TWC agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh The agent was able to submit my payment request over the phone and noted in my account that I had tried to submit online during my filing period but couldn't due to the system outage. Saved me from missing my benefits that week.

I've never heard of Claimyr before. It actually works? I've been calling the regular TWC number for hours now and just getting busy signals or disconnected.

Yes, it actually works. It basically keeps dialing for you until it gets through. When I used it, I got a call back when they had a TWC agent on the line. The agent was able to verify that there was indeed a system issue and processed my payment request manually. They also put a note on my account about the system issue so there wouldn't be any problems later.

That's insider info right there! Thanks for sharing. I wish they'd put that information on their website instead of leaving us all hanging!!!

Just to provide some clarity here: TWC does have a policy regarding system outages that affect filing deadlines. If their system is officially down and prevents you from submitting your payment request on your assigned day, they should extend the deadline without penalty. However, you need to: 1. Document your attempts to file (screenshots of errors, times you tried to access the system) 2. Continue trying to submit throughout the day if possible 3. Try the Tele-Serv system as a backup (800-558-8321) 4. If all else fails, contact TWC as soon as their system is back up If you've missed your filing day due to a system outage, call TWC directly and explain the situation. Request that they document in your file that you attempted to file on your assigned day but were unable to due to the system outage. In most cases, they'll allow you to submit late without penalty if the outage is verified. The most important thing is to be persistent and document everything. This happens a few times a year, unfortunately, but TWC generally makes accommodations for these situations.

Thank you so much for this detailed information! I've been taking screenshots of all my attempts today. I'll keep trying the website and phone system periodically throughout the day. If I still can't get through by tomorrow, I'll try to reach a representative directly.

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know the website is working again! I was able to submit my payment request just now (11:45pm). If today was your filing day too, try again tonight! The system seems much faster than usual too.

This is such a relief to see it's working again! I was getting so stressed about missing my filing deadline. For anyone who might face this in the future, I found that clearing my browser cache and cookies helped when the site first came back online - it seemed to load faster that way. Also want to echo what others said about taking screenshots of error messages - that documentation really is important if you ever need to prove you tried to file on time. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and tips throughout this whole ordeal!

Great tip about clearing the cache! I wish I had thought of that earlier today. I'm definitely bookmarking this thread for future reference - seems like TWC system outages are more common than they should be. It's really reassuring to know there's a whole community here who can share experiences and solutions when these things happen. Hopefully TWC will invest in better infrastructure soon so we don't have to deal with this stress during filing periods!

Wow, what a day! I was refreshing the TWC site every 30 minutes since this morning and getting nowhere. Finally got through around midnight and submitted successfully. This whole experience really highlights how unreliable their system can be - it's scary knowing that our benefits depend on a website that crashes this often. I'm definitely going to save all the backup phone numbers and resources people shared here (especially that Claimyr service). Thanks to everyone who kept updating throughout the day - it really helped knowing I wasn't the only one dealing with this mess!

So glad to hear you got through too! This whole situation really shows how much we all rely on each other in this community when the official systems fail us. I'm new here but seeing everyone share updates, tips, and resources throughout the day was incredible. Definitely saving those backup numbers and the Claimyr info too - seems like having multiple backup plans is essential when dealing with TWC. Here's hoping they get their act together soon, but at least we know we've got each other's backs when things go wrong!

Just wanted to add my experience from today - I'm in the same boat as everyone else! Started trying at 6 AM and kept getting that "System temporarily unavailable" message. What made it even more frustrating is that I could see parts of the site loading (like my account dashboard) but then it would crash when I tried to actually submit my payment request. I ended up trying that Tele-Serv number someone mentioned earlier and while it took about 45 minutes of calling back repeatedly, I finally got through and was able to complete my request over the phone. The automated system seemed more stable than the website today. For anyone still having trouble, don't give up! And definitely keep those screenshots of error messages - I took about 20 of them throughout the day just to be safe.

That's smart thinking to try the Tele-Serv number as backup! I didn't even know that was an option until people started mentioning it here today. 45 minutes of calling sounds tedious but way better than stressing all day about missing the deadline. I'm definitely going to remember that for next time - seems like having multiple ways to file is crucial with TWC's system being so unreliable. Thanks for sharing your experience and the tip about taking lots of screenshots. This whole thread has been a lifesaver today!

This whole situation has me thinking - maybe we should create some kind of group chat or notification system for when TWC goes down like this? I spent half my day panicking and refreshing the site when I could have been doing other things if I knew it was a widespread issue. Seeing everyone's updates here was so helpful, but I only found this thread by chance when I was searching for answers. It would be amazing if we had a way to quickly alert each other when the system crashes so nobody has to stress alone. Plus we could share real-time updates about when it's working again, like Mia did tonight. Just a thought - this community really proved how valuable it is to have people looking out for each other!

That's actually a brilliant idea! I'm pretty new to dealing with unemployment benefits and today was honestly terrifying - I had no idea if the problem was on my end or if everyone was experiencing it. Having some kind of quick alert system would save so much stress and wasted time. Maybe we could set up a Discord server or even just a group text? I'd definitely be interested in joining something like that. Today really showed me how much better it is when we can support each other through these system failures instead of each person panicking alone at home!

I love this idea! A Discord server or group chat would be perfect for situations like this. We could have different channels - one for system outage alerts, one for sharing tips and workarounds, and maybe even one for general TWC questions and support. I'm pretty tech-savvy and would be happy to help set something up if there's enough interest. Today was such a stressful reminder of how isolating it can feel when you're struggling with these systems alone. Having a real-time community response could make such a huge difference for everyone dealing with unemployment benefits in Texas!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I've been dealing with the same issue all day and was starting to panic that I'd miss my filing deadline. Reading through everyone's experiences and solutions has been incredibly helpful - especially the tips about taking screenshots, trying the Tele-Serv number, and that Claimyr service. It's frustrating that TWC's system is so unreliable, but it's reassuring to know there's a whole community here who understands what we're going through. I love the idea someone mentioned about creating a Discord or group chat for real-time updates during outages like this. Count me in if that happens! For now, I'm going to try the website again tonight based on the updates that it's working. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and keeping each other informed throughout this stressful day!

I'm so relieved to find this community too! I just joined today after spending hours frantically googling "TWC website down" and getting nowhere. This whole experience has been eye-opening - I had no idea system outages were this common with TWC or that there were backup options like the Tele-Serv number. The stress of potentially missing a filing deadline when you're already dealing with unemployment is just awful. I'm definitely interested in that Discord idea too! Having a place where we can quickly check if it's just us or if the whole system is down would save so much anxiety. Thanks to everyone who's been sharing updates and tips throughout the day - you've all been lifesavers!
