TWC website login issues - anyone else locked out today?

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the TWC unemployment website this morning? I've tried logging in at least 10 times since 8am and keep getting a "system unavailable" message. I need to submit my payment request TODAY or I'll miss this week's benefits. Already tried clearing my browser cache and using my phone instead but nothing works! Getting really stressed about this since my rent is due next week. Has TWC announced any maintenance or outages?

Yes!!! I've been trying since 6am and can't get in either!! The system is definitely down. My neighbor said she managed to get in around 5:30am but got kicked out halfway through her payment request. So frustrating when they don't even bother to post a notice about it.

Ugh, that's terrible. Did your neighbor have to start her payment request all over again? I'm worried I'll get halfway through mine and lose everything too.

try calling the tele-serv number instead of using the website. you can still submit payment requests by phone even when the site is down. 800-558-8321

Thanks, I'll try that right now!

The phone system gets overloaded too though. I was on hold for 45 minutes yesterday before getting disconnected. The whole system is garbage.

This actually happens pretty regularly, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays when most people are trying to submit their payment requests. The TWC system typically experiences heavy traffic between 8am-11am and 1pm-3pm. You have a few options: 1. Try logging in very early (5am-6am) or late evening (after 8pm) 2. Use the Tele-Serv system as someone mentioned 3. Remember that you have a 3-day window for your payment request, so if today is your regular filing day, you actually have until Wednesday at 11:59pm Also, even if the system is completely down today, TWC usually extends the deadline automatically if there's a system-wide issue. Just keep documentation (screenshots of errors) just in case you need to explain a late submission.

Thank you so much for this detailed info! I didn't realize I had a 3-day window - that takes some pressure off. I'll try again tonight after 8pm.

i just checked twitter and TWC posted about emergency maintenance this morning. they said the system should be back up by 2pm today. here's what they said: "Due to necessary emergency maintenance, the unemployment benefits portal will be unavailable until approximately 2:00 PM on May 15, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Of course they wait until AFTER the system goes down to announce it. So typical of TWC to leave everyone hanging. They should have warned people yesterday if they knew maintenance was happening today!

When I was having connection problems last month, I used Claimyr to reach an actual TWC agent who submitted my payment request for me over the phone. Saved me from missing my payment deadline. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh Totally worth it when the system is down and you can't get through the normal phone lines.

I've never heard of this service before. Does it really work? I'm desperate at this point.

Yes, it really works. They basically get you to the front of the phone queue. I was connected to a TWC agent in about 10 minutes instead of spending hours on hold or getting a busy signal. The agent resolved my issue right away.

I work in IT (not for TWC), and these types of maintenance issues are unfortunately common with government systems. Here's what I can tell you: 1. The TWC unemployment portal runs on older infrastructure that struggles during high-volume periods 2. Emergency maintenance usually indicates they're fixing something critical that failed, not just routine updates 3. The 2pm estimate they provided often gets extended, so I'd recommend checking back around 4pm to be safe As others mentioned, you do have a 3-day window for payment requests, and if there's a system-wide issue, TWC typically extends deadlines. If you're still having problems after the system is supposedly back online, take screenshots of any error messages for documentation. For future reference, Monday mornings are always the highest traffic time for the TWC system. If possible, try to complete your payment requests on Wednesdays or in the evening hours when server load is lower.

This is really helpful, thank you! I'll definitely try to do my requests on Wednesdays from now on. Just checked the website again and it's still down, so I'll try again after 4pm like you suggested.

UPDATE: The website is back up now! Just successfully submitted my payment request. It's running a bit slow but at least it's working. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!

Great news! Glad you were able to get your payment request submitted. For future reference, this type of system maintenance tends to happen around the middle of each month, so it might be worth planning to submit a day early next time just to be safe.

I'm still getting an error message when I try to log in. Anyone else still having problems or is it just me now? Getting so frustrated with this whole process!!!

Try clearing your browser cache completely, then close the browser, restart it and try again. Sometimes the system keeps old error pages cached even after maintenance is complete. If that doesn't work, try using a different browser entirely (Firefox instead of Chrome, etc.).

@Natasha Orlova I was having the same issue about an hour ago even after the system came back up. What worked for me was doing a hard refresh Ctrl+F5 (on Windows or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac and) then waiting about 5 minutes before trying to log in again. The system might still be stabilizing after the maintenance. If you re'still stuck, try the phone line that @Javier Cruz mentioned earlier - that might be your best bet to get your payment request in today.

Just want to add that if you're still having trouble after trying all these suggestions, you can also visit your local TWC office in person to submit your payment request. I know it's not ideal, but when I had similar issues a few months ago, the staff there were able to process everything for me on the spot. Most offices open at 8am and you'll want to bring your ID and any documentation from your claim. It's worth calling ahead to confirm hours since some locations have reduced schedules on certain days.
