TWC website locked me out after trying to submit work search log - need urgent help!
So frustrated right now! I was trying to submit my work search log yesterday for my payment request, and the TWC website kept giving me errors. First it said 'system unavailable' when I tried to enter my activities. Then when I tried again this morning, it completely locked me out! Now it says my account access is temporarily suspended due to 'security concerns.' I have bills due next week and NEED this payment to process. Has anyone else had this happen? How long does it take for them to fix it? I've called the customer service number like 30 times today and can't get through to a real person.

same thing happened to me last month. the work search log page has been glitchy since they updated the system in january. try using a different browser, that worked for me. also clear your cookies.

•I tried Chrome, Edge AND my phone browser - same problem on all of them! Did you have to wait for them to unlock your account or was there something else you did?

When did you last update your password? Sometimes TWC forces password changes every 90 days and their system doesn't tell you clearly that's the problem. Instead it gives those weird security messages. Try the password reset option and see if that helps before panicking.

•I actually reset my password last week! That's not it unfortunately. The message specifically says my account is locked and I need to contact a TWC representative. But I CAN'T GET THROUGH ON THE PHONE!

This is a known issue with their system right now. The work search log submission page has compatibility problems with certain security settings. Here's what you need to do: 1. Try logging in during non-peak hours (before 8am or after 6pm) 2. Make sure you're using the direct link to the payment request page: ui.texasworkforce.org/UBS/security/logon.do 3. If that doesn't work, you actually CAN submit your work search log by phone through the Tele-Serv system at 800-558-8321 The account lock usually releases automatically within 24 hours if it was triggered by multiple failed login attempts. If it says it's for security reasons, that's different and you'll need to speak with a representative.

•not entirely correct. the teleserv can't accept detailed work search info anymore since the 2025 system update. they make you use the website now unless you get an exemption. source: i work at a workforce solutions office

•Just checked and I don't see anything from ID.me in my regular inbox or spam. I did the ID.me verification when I first filed my claim 3 months ago and haven't had any issues until now.

I had EXACTLY this problem last week! The TWC website is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!! I spent 3 days trying to get through on the phone with no luck. Nothing but busy signals or being disconnected after waiting for 2+ hours! I was about to give up when someone told me about Claimyr.com - it's a service that gets you through to a TWC agent usually within an hour instead of dealing with busy signals all day. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh I was skeptical but it actually worked. Got through to someone who unlocked my account right away. Apparently there was some kind of system flag on my account because I had attempted to log in from multiple devices (which they consider suspicious for some reason). The TWC rep removed the lock and I was able to submit my work search log that same day.

•Thank you!! I'm going to try this right now. Did they ask a lot of security questions to unlock your account? I'm nervous I won't remember some of the answers I gave when I first set up my claim.

•They just asked for my SSN, DOB, and address to verify my identity. Then they asked when I last tried to log in and what error message I got. It was pretty straightforward. The whole call only took about 10 minutes once I got through.

I used to work at TWC. This sounds like the automated security lock that happens when there are multiple failed login attempts OR when you try to access the system from significantly different IP addresses in a short timeframe. The good news is that this is easily fixable by a TWC rep. The bad news is that it won't unlock automatically - you do need to speak to someone. One thing to try: call the TWC Tele-Center at 7:59am exactly when they open. That's your best chance of getting through without using a third-party service. If you can't get through that way, then the Claimyr option mentioned above is worth considering if you're in a hurry. Once you do get your account unlocked, I recommend setting up the TWC account recovery options with both your email and phone number to avoid this happening again.

•I'll try calling right at 8am tomorrow! I'm worried about my payment request deadline though - it's due by Friday. If I can't submit my work search log by then, will I lose this week's benefits completely?

•If you miss your regular filing deadline due to account access issues that are TWC's fault, they can override that once your account is restored. Make sure to explain the situation clearly to the representative when you reach them, and they can note it in your account. Just be persistent about explaining that you attempted to file on time but were prevented by technical issues on their end.

I HATE the new TWC system so much!!! It's been nothing but problems since they "upgraded" it in January. My brother-in-law works in IT and says they obviously didn't test it properly before launch. I've been locked out 3 times in 2 months for no reason at all. And then they have the nerve to blame US when their crappy system fails! Last time I called, I waited 3.5 HOURS only to have the call dropped right when someone finally answered. The whole thing is designed to frustrate people so they'll give up on claiming benefits. Stay strong and keep fighting!

•It definitely feels that way sometimes! I'm not giving up though - I paid into this system when I was working and I'm entitled to these benefits while I'm finding a new job. Thanks for the encouragement.

Just wanted to update everyone - I finally got through to TWC this morning using the Claimyr service that was recommended. They fixed my account in about 5 minutes! The rep said there's been a widespread issue with the work search log page causing security flags on accounts. Apparently when the page times out or gives errors, some security algorithm flags it as suspicious activity. I was able to submit my work search logs and complete my payment request. They also put a note on my account about the technical issue so I won't be penalized for the delay. Thanks for all the help and suggestions everyone!

•Great to hear this was resolved! For others reading this thread later - if you experience similar issues, be sure to take screenshots of any error messages you receive. This can help document that the problem was on TWC's end rather than yours, which can be important if there are any disputes about timely filing.
