TWC website down for 2 days - can't request payment or check claim status!
Is anyone else having trouble accessing the TWC unemployment website? It's been down since yesterday morning for me. I'm supposed to make my payment request today and I'm freaking out! The page just hangs at loading or gives me an error message. Tried different browsers (Chrome, Edge, even Firefox) and even my phone but nothing works. Called the Tele-Serv number but it just says 'all representatives are busy' and hangs up on me. Anyone know if there's a system outage or when it will be fixed??? My rent is due next week and I NEED this payment to go through!

•Did you find any info about scheduled maintenance? I checked their Twitter but didn't see anything about an outage.

OMG this is the THIRD TIME this has happened in 2025! TWC systems are GARBAGE. Last time it was down for like 3 days and nobody could file anything and then they had the nerve to tell people they filed late!!! Make sure you document everything with screenshots showing the error messages in case they try to say you missed your filing deadline.

•Same thing happened to me in January! They marked me late even tho their system was down. Had to appeal it and it took FOREVER to fix.

The system is experiencing technical difficulties, but there are alternatives you can use while the website is down: 1. Call Tele-Serv at 800-558-8321 to request payment (use option 1). Yes, it's busy but keep trying at different times. 2. You have a 3-day grace period for your payment request, so don't panic just yet. 3. Take screenshots of any error messages as documentation. 4. The WorkInTexas.com site is separate and may still be accessible if you need to log work search activities. According to the TWC Twitter account (@TXWorkforce), they're aware of the issue and working on it, but haven't provided an ETA for resolution.

•Thank you so much for this info! I've been trying Tele-Serv all morning with no luck. I'll keep trying throughout the day. Do you know if this will affect when payments go out once the system is back up?

I had the same problem this morning but was able to get through to a TWC agent using Claimyr. It saved me hours of frustration! Just went to claimyr.com and they got me connected to TWC in about 20 minutes instead of spending all day redialing. The agent confirmed they're having technical issues with the website and payment request system but you can still process everything by phone once you get through. There's a video that explains how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh

•Thanks for the recommendation! I'm desperate at this point so I'll check it out. Did the agent give you any idea when the website would be back up?

The agent I spoke to said they're working on the website issues but couldn't give a specific timeframe - just that it should be back up "soon." They did confirm that payment requests made by phone during the outage will be processed normally, and they're aware many people are having trouble filing this week.

•That's good to know about the payments! Hopefully "soon" means today or tomorrow at the latest.

Just to add some clarification to what others have said - when the website goes down, your payment request date doesn't change, but TWC does understand that technical issues on their end affect claimants. Document everything (screenshots, time/date of attempts) and if you get any kind of late filing notice later, you can appeal it by explaining the system was down. Also, if you're really worried about getting your payment request in today, keep trying Tele-Serv throughout the day. Early morning (7-8am) and late evening (after 7pm) typically have less traffic and you might get through easier.

•I'll try calling during those times! Do you know if the payments will be delayed because of the system being down?

Regarding payment delays: In previous outages, TWC has processed payments normally once systems were restored. However, if the outage lasts more than 48 hours, there might be a 1-2 day delay in payment processing as they work through the backlog. Direct deposits typically still process faster than debit card payments during these situations.

•That's IF they process them normally! Last time this happened my payment was a WEEK late and I got hit with late fees on my bills. Then when I called they acted like it wasn't their fault!
