TWC website down and can't reach reps by phone since 7am - anyone getting through?
Been trying to contact TWC since 7am this morning with no luck whatsoever! The phone just gives me busy signals or disconnects after the automated menu. And what's going on with the website?? It's completely down for me - keeps showing an error page when I try to check my claim status or submit my payment request that's due today! Anyone else having this issue or know if there's system maintenance happening? I'm getting really worried since my rent is due next week and I NEED to get this payment request processed! Has anyone been able to get through to a live person today?

•3 DAYS?? Oh no, I can't wait that long! My payment request deadline is literally today. Have you tried calling right when they open? That's what I tried this morning but still nothing.

Yep, system is down. I saw on Twitter that TWC is having technical issues since yesterday afternoon. They said they're working on it but didn't give a timeframe for when it'll be back up. Typical government efficiency 🙄

•Thanks for the info! I don't use Twitter so I had no idea. Did they say anything about extending deadlines for payment requests that are due during the outage?

This happens periodically - usually resolved within 24-48 hours. For anyone worried about missing payment request deadlines due to system outages, TWC typically extends those deadlines automatically if their system was down. However, it's still best to document your attempts to log in or call (screenshots, dates/times). Regarding phone contact, try calling the TWC Tele-Serv system at 800-558-8321 instead of the main number. Sometimes you can still process payment requests through that automated system even when the website is down.

•Thank you so much! I'll try the Tele-Serv number right now. Would take a screenshot of the website error but I'm guessing everyone is seeing the same thing. Really appreciate the advice!

I managed to get through to an actual TWC agent earlier today after trying for HOURS. Used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that holds your place in line and calls you back when they get an agent. Worked perfectly - I had to wait about 45 minutes but they called me back when they got through rather than me sitting on hold. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh Agent told me the system outage is affecting both website and phone systems, but they're still able to help people who get through.

•is that a legit service? never heard of it before. seems kinda sketchy that you have to pay someone to call unemployment for you lol

•Yes, it's legitimate. I was skeptical too but was desperate after calling for days. They don't call unemployment FOR you - they just hold your place in line and connect you directly with the TWC agent when they get through. You do all the talking yourself. Saved me hours of redialing.

This happens at least once every 2-3 months with TWC's systems. Your payment request date will automatically be extended if the system is down on your filing day - this is standard procedure, so don't worry about missing deadlines due to their technical issues. They'll likely post an announcement about it once systems are back up. For reference, the typical maintenance window is supposed to be Tuesdays from 3:00am-6:00am, but obviously this is an unplanned outage. If you absolutely need to reach someone today, the Telecenter numbers are still your best bet, but be prepared for extremely long wait times (2-3 hours minimum).

•That's a huge relief to hear about the automatic extension! I've been on UI for 3 months but this is my first time experiencing their website being completely down. Still can't get through on phone but at least I know my payment won't be delayed because of their system issues.

I've been on hold for 1 hour and 47 minutes!!! But I finally got through to the queue. They said there was an overnight system update that caused problems, but agents can still process things manually if you get through. They're prioritizing people who have payment request deadlines today, so make sure to mention that if you get through.

@mia98 Based on what the TWC agent told me, they're experiencing extremely high call volume due to the website being down. Everyone who would normally handle things online is now trying to call. The agent mentioned they're bringing in additional staff but it might take until tomorrow for the website to be fully operational again.

•Did they tell you if they're extending the work search reporting deadlines too? I haven't been able to log my activities for this week either.

Yes, work search reporting deadlines will also be extended. When the system comes back online, you'll have at least 3 business days to submit any work search activities that were due during the outage. This is standard procedure during system outages. One tip: prepare your work search information on paper or in a document so you're ready to enter it quickly when the system is back up. And as always, make sure you're completing at least 3 qualified work search activities each week regardless of the system status.

•Great advice! I've been keeping track in a notebook but good point about having it ready to go. And yes, still doing my 3 activities each week as required. Thanks again for all the helpful info!
