TWC Tele-Serv not connecting to agents after 3 weeks - filed 25 appeals in frustration
I'm at my wits' end with TWC's Tele-Serv system. Been trying for THREE WEEKS STRAIGHT to talk to an actual person about my claim issue, and I've gotten absolutely nowhere. The automated system just keeps cycling me through prompts and then disconnecting. I've left callback requests daily - nothing. Out of pure desperation, I've submitted 25 appeals for the same issue hoping someone would notice and contact me! Has the entire TWC phone system collapsed? Is anyone getting through? My rent is due in 5 days and my claim is still showing 'pending adjudication' with no explanation.

•At least I'm not the only one! Have any of your appeals actually done anything? I'm worried I've just messed up my claim worse by filing so many.

Filing multiple appeals for the same issue will unfortunately just create a backlog in your own claim processing. Each appeal generates a separate case number that has to be reviewed, and they'll likely all be consolidated but it takes staff time to sort through them. Your best strategy is to: 1. Try calling right at 7:00am when the lines open 2. Call on Tuesday-Thursday (typically less volume than Monday/Friday) 3. Select the option for "Question about existing claim" rather than "File new claim" 4. If prompted, choose "Payment issues" as your reason Also make sure you're continuing to request payments on your regular schedule even while your claim is pending adjudication.

•Thank you for the advice! I've been trying at 7:00am sharp but still no luck. I'll try the different menu options tomorrow. And yes, I'm still doing my payment requests every two weeks - thank goodness for that reminder.

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS RIGGED!!! They don't answer because they don't WANT to approve claims! I spent 6 WEEKS trying to reach someone last year and when I finally got through the agent "accidentally" disconnected me after I waited 3 HOURS!!! Had to start all over again the next day. TWC doesn't care about us AT ALL.

•While I understand your frustration, the system isn't actually rigged. TWC is just chronically understaffed for the volume of claims they handle. Remember the unemployment rate in Texas increased 0.3% last quarter, so they're dealing with more claims than usual. Not making excuses, but they're not deliberately ignoring people.

I had the same problem last month and wasted so much time on hold. What finally worked for me was using Claimyr to get through to a TWC agent. It basically calls for you and holds your place in line, then calls you when an agent is ready. I was skeptical but it actually worked - got through in about 45 minutes when I'd been trying for weeks on my own. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a demo video that explains how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh

•Never heard of this before. Did it actually connect you to a real TWC agent? I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point.

•Yes, it connected me to an actual TWC agent who could access my claim. The service just handles the waiting on hold part so you don't have to sit with your phone for hours. When they get a human on the line, they call you and connect you directly to the agent.

I feel your pain with the Tele-Serv system! Filed my claim in January and had a similar nightmare. What worked for me was contacting my state representative's office. Most have staff dedicated to helping constituents with state agency issues including TWC problems. I emailed mine on a Thursday explaining my situation, and by Tuesday a TWC supervisor called me directly. Worth a try!

•That's actually a great idea I hadn't considered! I'll look up my state rep's contact info right now. Did you just email their general office or is there a specific way to contact them about TWC issues?

•Just used the general contact form on my rep's website. I put "Urgent TWC Assistance Needed" in the subject line and explained my situation clearly - how long I'd been trying, that I had dependents, bills due, etc. They have liaisons who work directly with TWC.

Regarding your multiple appeals - you should access your TWC account online and check your Correspondence Inbox. Look for any messages about your appeals or the original issue. Sometimes they respond in writing rather than calling, especially if they're trying to request specific documentation from you. Also, make sure your contact information is up-to-date in the system. I've seen cases where people weren't getting calls back because their phone number had a typo or their voicemail was full. The current average wait time for adjudication is approximately 21-28 days, so you're right at that threshold where you should be hearing something soon.

•I've been checking my correspondence inbox obsessively - nothing new except confirmations of each appeal I filed. My contact info is definitely correct. The 21-28 day timeframe helps though - at least I know I'm not being unreasonable expecting some movement by now.

Update us when you get through! And remember, whatever you do, don't stop requesting payments during your regular request period, even while waiting for adjudication. I've seen too many people lose weeks of benefits because they thought they shouldn't request payment until their issue was resolved.

•Will do! I just tried the Claimyr service that someone mentioned above, and I've got a callback scheduled for tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed it works. And yes, I'm keeping up with my payment requests every two weeks like clockwork!

FINALLY GOT THROUGH!!! Using that Claimyr service actually worked - I spoke with an agent this morning who fixed the issue in about 10 minutes. Turns out they were missing a document from my former employer that I had no idea about. The agent said all my appeals were consolidated and she removed the extras from my file. My claim status just changed to 'processed' and payment should arrive in 2-3 business days. What a relief!

•Great news! This is exactly why speaking with an agent is so important - there are often simple fixes that only they can see in the system. Glad you got it resolved before your rent was due.

Wow, what a rollercoaster but so glad you got it resolved! This thread is going to be super helpful for others dealing with the same nightmare. I've been struggling with TWC for 2 weeks myself and was about to give up. Definitely going to try the Claimyr service and contacting my state rep as backup options. It's crazy that such simple solutions exist but TWC doesn't make them obvious. Thanks for sharing your experience and keeping us updated!
