TWC account lockout for 7+ days - quicker way to unlock than waiting on form response?
So frustrated right now! My TWC unemployment account has been locked for about a week. I filled out all those unlock forms they tell you to submit but haven't heard a SINGLE WORD back from anyone. I'm missing my payment request day and getting seriously worried about bills piling up. Has anyone found a faster way to get their account unlocked? I tried calling but just get the busy signal or disconnected after waiting forever. Do I just keep submitting those forms daily until someone notices? Any tricks that worked for anyone else?

I went thru this same thing last month! Those forms seem to go into a black hole. Try calling right when they open at 7am, thats how I finally got thru.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll try calling at 7am tomorrow. Did it take many attempts even at that time?

The form can take up to 10 business days to process normally. Make sure you checked your spam folder for responses too! Sometimes they send an email asking for more info and it gets filtered out. Also double check that you're using the correct form - there's one for PIN resets and a different one for account lockouts.

•I definitely used the account lockout form. I'll check my spam folder right now though, good point! 10 business days is sooo long when you need your benefits...

Ugh I hate to say it but TWC's "official" unlock process is USELESS!!! I waited THREE WEEKS before giving up on their stupid form. What finally worked for me was using Claimyr (claimyr.com) - it got me connected to an actual TWC agent in about 20 mins who unlocked my account on the spot. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh Worth it when you're missing payment requests and can't get through on your own.

•100% legit. I was skeptical too but it actually works. They just help you get through the phone system to a real person. My account was unlocked same day after being locked for weeks.

I work with people dealing with TWC issues all the time. Here's what you should do: 1. First, make sure you're using the correct form. For account lockouts it's the Account Reset Request form, not the PIN reset form. 2. If you've already waited 5+ business days with no response, call the TWC Tele-Serv number (800-558-8321) and use option 4 to speak with an agent. Yes, it's difficult to get through, but persistence is key. 3. Check if your account is locked due to identity verification issues. If so, you may need to complete the ID.me process again. 4. Document all your attempts to contact them (dates, times, reference numbers) as this can help if you need to request backdating later. The current average wait time for account unlock forms is 7-10 business days due to high volume, but calling is usually faster if you can get through.

•Thank you! This is really helpful. I've been using the right form but didn't realize I might need to redo ID.me verification. I'll try calling with option 4 tomorrow morning first thing.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that's all it takes. Also, if you're using a VPN or public WiFi, try from your home network instead. TWC's security system can lock accounts based on unusual login locations.

•I tried clearing cache already and I'm on my home network. But thanks for the suggestion! Definitely good for others to know.

UPDATE: I got through this morning! Called at exactly 7:00 AM and only had to wait about 15 minutes. The agent was able to unlock my account while I was on the phone. She said they're backed up with form requests right now, and calling is definitely faster if you can get through. My advice to anyone with this problem - call early in the morning! And thanks everyone for your help!

•That's great to hear! For future reference, did they explain why your account was locked in the first place? Sometimes knowing the cause can help prevent it happening again.

•They said it was flagged for "suspicious login activity" - whatever that means! Apparently too many login attempts can trigger it, so maybe I tried my password too many times? Anyway, just glad it's fixed now.

Great to see you got it resolved! For anyone else dealing with this, I'd also recommend keeping a record of when your account gets locked and what you were doing beforehand. I noticed mine always seemed to happen after I'd been away for a few weeks and then tried to log in multiple times when I forgot my password. Now I'm more careful about password attempts and haven't had issues since. The early morning calling strategy really does work though - seems like that's when they have the most agents available.

•That's really smart advice about keeping records! I wish I had thought to track what I was doing before my account got locked. Your point about password attempts makes total sense - I probably did try logging in too many times when I couldn't remember if I had changed my password recently. I'll definitely be more careful going forward. Thanks for sharing your experience!

This is such a common issue! I went through the exact same thing a few months ago and it's incredibly frustrating when you're depending on those benefits. The early morning calling strategy definitely works best - I had success around 7:15 AM after trying for days at other times. One thing that helped me was having all my information ready before calling (SSN, claim number, etc.) so I could get through the verification quickly once connected. Also, if you get disconnected, don't give up! Sometimes it takes 3-4 attempts even in the morning. The agents are usually pretty helpful once you actually reach them. Hang in there!

•This thread has been so helpful! I'm dealing with a locked account right now too and was getting really discouraged. It's reassuring to know that calling early morning actually works and that I'm not the only one struggling with this. I'll definitely have my information ready and try the 7 AM strategy tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your experience and for the encouragement - sometimes you just need to hear that persistence pays off!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm currently dealing with the same locked account issue and was starting to panic about missing my payment requests. Reading through everyone's experiences, especially Sofia's successful resolution, gives me hope. I've been trying to call for three days now with no luck, but I haven't tried the early morning strategy yet. Going to set my alarm for 6:45 AM tomorrow and try calling right at 7:00. It's really frustrating that the forms take so long when people are depending on these benefits to pay rent and buy groceries. Thanks to everyone who shared their tips - this community is honestly more helpful than TWC's official help resources!
