TWC website keeps kicking me out when filing unemployment claim online - anyone else?
So frustrated with the TWC website right now! Every single time I try to file my unemployment claim online, the system boots me out randomly. I'll be halfway through entering my information and suddenly get kicked back to the login screen or just get a blank page. I've tried 5 different times over the past 2 days using Chrome, Firefox, even my phone. Nothing works! Is this happening to anyone else? Are there certain times when the website works better? I'm worried about missing my filing deadline if I can't get this to work. Any advice would be really appreciated.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll try the 6am thing tomorrow. Did you eventually get through or did you have to call them?

This is a common issue with the TWC site, especially during high-traffic periods. A few troubleshooting steps that might help: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies completely 2. Make sure you're not using any VPN or secure connection that might interfere 3. Try using Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer (the TWC site works better with these sometimes) 4. Disable any ad blockers or extensions that might interfere 5. If you've been inactive on a page for more than 15 minutes, the system automatically logs you out for security If none of that works, you can also try calling the Tele-Serv automated system at 800-558-8321 to file instead of using the website.

•Disabling ad blockers worked for me last month! Can't believe something so simple fixed it, but TWC's site seems to have issues with certain browser extensions.

The TWC website has been especially glitchy since their system update last month. I was having the same problem where it would kick me out during the work search documentation part. What finally worked for me was: 1. Using an incognito/private browsing window 2. Completing each section quickly (I think there's a hidden timer) 3. Not using the back button ever (use only their navigation buttons) Also, I found that filing between 7-8pm on weekdays was much more reliable than daytime hours when their servers seem overloaded. Hope this helps!

•Thank you for these detailed tips! I'll definitely try the incognito window and avoiding the back button. I was probably taking too long on each section trying to make sure everything was perfect. Appreciate the help!

the same thing happened with mee!!! i got so mad i threw my laptop lol (not really but i wanted too!) i ended up having to call them but you know how that goes... busy signals for DAYS!! i finally got thru after using this service called Claimyr that gets you a callback from TWC without waiting on hold. it was actually pretty easy, just went to claimyr.com and watched their demo video here: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh The TWC rep told me that sometimes their system flags certain IP addresses if too many people in one area are trying to access it at once. Weird but whatever...at least I got my claim filed!

•I'm always skeptical of these "services" that promise to get you through to TWC. Did it actually work or are you just advertising for them? How long did it take to get a callback?

@profile3 it's not an ad lol, it really worked for me! got a callback in about 45 mins. beats calling 100 times a day and getting busy signals. just sharing what worked when i had the same problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

•Fair enough, sorry for being suspicious. After dealing with TWC for 3 months I'm just irritated with everything related to unemployment at this point. Might try it if I can't get through tomorrow.

Had the same issue last week and what finally worked for me was using a completely different device. My laptop kept getting me booted out but when I used my mom's desktop computer it worked fine on the first try. Weird but worth trying if you have access to another computer or tablet.

Just wanted to add that the TWC system performs maintenance every night from 11:30pm to 2:30am, so definitely avoid filing during those hours. Also, they tend to have the most traffic on Mondays and Tuesdays, so Wednesday through Sunday might give you a better chance of staying connected. If all else fails, you can request payment by phone through Tele-Serv at 800-558-8321. The phone system isn't as user-friendly but at least it's more stable than the website sometimes.

•Update: I finally got through! Used incognito mode on Edge browser at 6:30am this morning and completed my claim without getting kicked out. Thanks everyone for your help! For anyone else having this problem, try a combination of early morning + incognito mode + Edge browser. Worked like a charm.

Great to see you got through @Lauren! For anyone else still struggling with this, I've found a few additional tricks that work: 1. Use a wired internet connection instead of WiFi if possible - more stable 2. Close ALL other browser tabs and programs before starting (frees up memory) 3. Don't copy/paste information - type it directly (their system sometimes flags copy/paste as suspicious) 4. If you get an error, don't hit refresh - close the browser completely and start over 5. Save your work search activities in a separate document first so you can enter them quickly Also, PSA: TWC has extended filing deadlines during technical issues in the past, so if you're really stuck, document your attempts (screenshots of errors) and call them. They usually won't penalize you for their system problems if you can show you tried multiple times. The system definitely needs an overhaul but these workarounds have helped me and several friends get through when the website is being stubborn.

•These are really helpful tips! I never would have thought about the wired connection vs WiFi thing. I've been having similar issues and was getting so frustrated - tried filing 3 times yesterday and kept getting booted out. Going to try your suggestions tonight, especially the part about not copy/pasting info since I was definitely doing that. Thanks for sharing these workarounds!

I've been dealing with this exact same issue for weeks! What's worked best for me is actually a combination of several things mentioned here: 1. Filing between 6-7am on weekdays (before peak hours) 2. Using Edge browser in incognito mode 3. Having all my info ready in a notepad beforehand so I can fill everything out quickly 4. Most importantly - never leaving a page idle for more than 5-10 minutes I also discovered that if you get kicked out, wait at least 15-20 minutes before trying again. I think their system temporarily flags your IP if you keep trying to log back in immediately after getting booted. Super annoying but this approach has gotten me through the last 3 weeks without issues. One more tip: if you're on a shared network (apartment complex, coffee shop, etc), try using your phone's hotspot instead. Sometimes too many people from the same network trying to access TWC at once causes problems. Hope this helps - the TWC website is definitely trash but these workarounds have saved my sanity!

•This is such great advice! I'm new to filing unemployment claims and had no idea about the IP flagging thing - that totally explains why I kept having issues when I'd immediately try logging back in after getting kicked out. The tip about using phone hotspot instead of shared network is brilliant too. I live in a big apartment complex so that might be part of my problem. Going to try your 6-7am + Edge incognito + hotspot combo tomorrow morning. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all these detailed workarounds!

I've been lurking on this thread because I'm having the exact same problem! Just wanted to add something that worked for me yesterday - I noticed the website seems to work better if you don't use autofill for any of the forms. I had my browser set to automatically fill in my name, address, etc. but when I turned that off and manually typed everything, I didn't get kicked out. Also, for anyone still struggling, I found that the mobile version of the TWC website (on your phone browser) is actually more stable than the desktop version sometimes. It's not as user-friendly but it kept me logged in when the regular site wouldn't. One last thing - make sure to log out properly when you're done instead of just closing the browser. I think that helps prevent issues the next time you try to log in. Good luck everyone!

•Thanks for sharing the autofill tip! I never thought that could be causing issues but it makes total sense - the TWC system probably sees autofill as suspicious activity or something. I've been using autofill for everything so that might explain why I keep getting booted out. Also really appreciate the mobile browser suggestion - I was so focused on trying different desktop browsers that I didn't even think to try my phone's browser. Going to disable autofill and try the mobile site next time I have issues. This thread has been a lifesaver with all these workarounds!

I just wanted to thank everyone in this thread - I was having the exact same problem and feeling so frustrated! I tried the combination of early morning filing (around 6:30am), Edge browser in incognito mode, disabling autofill, and having all my info pre-written in a notepad. It worked perfectly! One small addition to all the great advice here: I noticed that when I was typing in the work search activities section, typing too fast seemed to cause issues. When I slowed down and paused between entries, the system seemed more stable. Might be my imagination but worth mentioning. The TWC website is definitely problematic but this community has been amazing at sharing solutions. Saved me from having to deal with calling and waiting on hold for hours!

•So glad this thread helped you get through! The typing speed tip is actually really interesting - I bet the TWC system has some kind of bot detection that flags rapid typing as suspicious activity. I've noticed similar issues with other government websites where typing too fast seems to trigger security measures. It's ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops just to file for benefits we're entitled to, but at least we've figured out the workarounds together. Thanks for adding that detail about slowing down typing - definitely going to keep that in mind for my next filing!

I've been having this exact same issue for the past week! So relieved to find this thread and see I'm not the only one dealing with TWC's broken website. I tried so many of the suggestions here and wanted to share what finally worked for me: Used my tablet instead of computer, filed at 7am on a Wednesday, turned off WiFi and used cellular data instead, and most importantly - I discovered that if you get an error message, don't click "OK" right away. Wait about 10-15 seconds before clicking it, then wait another 30 seconds before trying to continue. Sounds crazy but it seemed to help the system catch up. Also wanted to mention for anyone still struggling - I called my local workforce office and they told me that if you can document your failed attempts (screenshots of error messages), they can note it in your file so you won't be penalized for late filing due to technical issues. The rep said they're getting tons of complaints about the website lately. Thanks everyone for sharing your workarounds - this thread should be pinned somewhere because TWC's website is clearly a disaster for a lot of people right now!

•This is such valuable information, thank you for sharing! The tip about waiting before clicking "OK" on error messages is genius - I never would have thought of that but it makes sense that the system might need time to process. I've been frantically clicking through error messages which probably made things worse. And the cellular data instead of WiFi suggestion is brilliant too - I bet my home internet connection has been part of the problem since I live in an area with a lot of people who might be accessing TWC at the same time. Really appreciate you mentioning that the workforce office can document failed attempts - that takes a lot of stress off knowing I won't be penalized for their technical issues. Going to try your Wednesday morning + tablet + cellular data combo next week. This thread has been absolutely invaluable!

I've been following this thread closely because I'm dealing with the exact same frustrating issue! Reading through everyone's solutions has been incredibly helpful. I wanted to share a couple additional things I discovered through trial and error: 1. If you're using a VPN (even for work), make sure to disconnect it completely before accessing TWC - their system seems to really hate VPNs and will boot you almost immediately 2. I found that clearing my browser's DNS cache helped a lot (you can do this by typing chrome://net-internals/#dns in Chrome and clicking "Clear host cache") 3. For some reason, having Spotify or any music streaming service running in the background seemed to cause connection issues - might be a bandwidth thing The combination that finally worked for me was: Tuesday morning at 6:45am, Edge browser in private mode, cellular hotspot instead of home WiFi, all background apps closed, and typing slowly in the work search section like others mentioned. It's absolutely ridiculous that we need this many workarounds just to access basic unemployment services, but I'm so grateful for this community sharing solutions. The TWC really needs to fix their infrastructure - this many people having identical problems shows it's clearly a systemic issue on their end, not user error. Hopefully they'll invest in better servers soon, but until then, these tips are lifesavers!

•This is incredibly thorough, thank you so much! The VPN tip is especially helpful - I work from home and always have my company VPN running, so that's probably been causing issues this whole time. I had no idea government sites were so sensitive to VPNs. The DNS cache clearing suggestion is also something I never would have thought of but makes total sense. And you're absolutely right about this being a systemic issue - when dozens of people are having identical problems and need this many workarounds, it's clearly TWC's infrastructure that's the problem, not us. It's frustrating that we have to become tech experts just to file for unemployment benefits, but I really appreciate everyone in this thread sharing their solutions. Going to try your Tuesday morning combo with VPN disconnected and see if that finally does the trick!

I've been struggling with this same issue for the past two weeks and this thread has been a absolute godsend! After reading through all the suggestions, I tried a combination approach yesterday and finally got through successfully. What worked for me: Filed at 6:15am on Thursday using Safari browser (hadn't seen anyone mention Safari yet) in private browsing mode, used my phone's hotspot instead of home WiFi, disabled all browser extensions, and had all my information pre-typed in a Notes app so I could quickly reference it without copy/pasting. One thing I noticed that I haven't seen mentioned yet - the TWC site seems extra sensitive to having multiple tabs open. Even having just one other tab with Gmail or anything else seemed to cause issues. When I closed everything except the TWC tab, the connection stayed much more stable. Also wanted to add that I timed myself and noticed the system seems to automatically log you out after exactly 20 minutes of inactivity, not 15 like some sites. So if you're a slow typer or need to look up information, be aware of that timeout. Thanks to everyone who shared their workarounds - it's honestly shameful that TWC's system is this broken and we have to figure out all these tricks just to access our benefits, but at least we're helping each other get through it!

•The Safari browser tip is really interesting - I hadn't seen anyone mention that either! I've been stuck trying Chrome and Firefox but never thought to try Safari. The multiple tabs observation is also super helpful - I definitely had other tabs open when I kept getting booted out, so that could have been contributing to the problem. And good catch on the 20-minute timeout vs 15 minutes - knowing the exact timing helps with planning how quickly to fill everything out. It's crazy that we've basically had to reverse-engineer TWC's system through trial and error just to file claims, but I'm so grateful for everyone sharing what works. Going to try your Safari + single tab + hotspot combo next time I need to file. This community problem-solving has been amazing!

Just wanted to jump in and share my recent experience since I was dealing with this exact same nightmare just last week! After trying literally everything - different browsers, times of day, devices - what FINALLY worked for me was something I hadn't seen mentioned yet: temporarily disabling my antivirus software's web protection feature while filing. I know it sounds risky, but I think some antivirus programs are blocking certain scripts or connections that TWC's site needs to function properly. I used Malwarebytes and had to pause the web protection for about 30 minutes while I completed my filing. Combined that with filing at 6am using Edge in incognito mode and got through on the first try after weeks of frustration. Obviously re-enable your antivirus immediately after filing, but if you've tried everything else and are still getting booted out, it might be worth a shot. The TWC site is definitely poorly designed if antivirus software interferes with it, but at least it's another potential workaround for people who are stuck. This thread has been incredibly helpful - it's both reassuring and infuriating to know so many others are dealing with the same broken system!

•That's a really interesting troubleshooting tip about the antivirus software! I never would have thought that web protection features could interfere with government websites, but it actually makes sense given how sensitive TWC's system seems to be to everything. I've been using Norton and it has pretty aggressive web protection - that could definitely explain some of my connection issues. Thanks for mentioning the specific steps too (pausing for 30 minutes then re-enabling immediately). I'm definitely going to try this next week if I run into problems again. It's honestly incredible how many different technical issues can cause problems with their site - between VPNs, antivirus software, multiple tabs, autofill, typing speed, network connections... the list just keeps growing! At this point we could write a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for TWC that's probably more helpful than anything they provide officially.

I've been having this exact same problem for about a month now and reading through all these solutions has been incredibly helpful! I wanted to add one more thing that seemed to make a difference for me - I discovered that my browser's password manager was somehow interfering with the TWC site. Even though I wasn't using it to autofill forms, just having it enabled seemed to cause issues. What finally worked for me was: filing at 5:45am on Friday morning, using Firefox in private browsing mode, completely disabling my password manager temporarily, using ethernet cable instead of WiFi, and keeping only the TWC tab open. I also made sure to log out properly at the end instead of just closing the browser. The most frustrating part is that TWC's help desk basically just tells you to "try again later" when you call about website issues - they don't seem to have any real solutions. It's honestly embarrassing that a state agency's website requires this many workarounds just to function. But thanks to everyone sharing their experiences here, at least we can help each other navigate this broken system! For anyone still struggling, I'd definitely recommend trying the early morning approach combined with private browsing and a wired connection. The difference in stability was night and day for me.

•The password manager interference is such a great catch! I never would have thought that even having it enabled (but not actively using it) could cause problems with TWC's site. That explains why some of my attempts failed even when I was manually typing everything. I've been using 1Password and it's always running in the background - definitely going to try disabling it completely next time I file. Your Friday 5:45am + Firefox private + ethernet combo sounds like another winning formula. It's amazing how this thread has basically become a comprehensive troubleshooting guide that's way more useful than anything TWC provides. The fact that their own help desk just says "try again later" instead of acknowledging these widespread technical issues is really frustrating. Thanks for adding the password manager tip - that's going on my list of things to disable along with VPN, antivirus web protection, and browser extensions!

I've been lurking on this thread for weeks dealing with the exact same frustrating issue! After trying probably 15 different combinations of the suggestions here, I finally found something that worked consistently for me - using my tablet with a mobile browser (Chrome mobile) instead of any desktop browser, combined with filing between 5:30-6:00am on weekdays. What really made the difference though was something I discovered by accident: if you get to the work search section and the page starts acting sluggish, don't try to power through it. Instead, I learned to pause for about 60 seconds between each work search entry I typed in. It sounds ridiculous but the system seemed to need that processing time. Also wanted to mention that I kept a simple text file on my desktop with all my standard responses pre-written (employer names, dates, etc.) so I could quickly glance at it and type everything in manually without any copy/pasting. This whole thread has been a lifesaver - it's absolutely wild that we need this many workarounds for a basic government service, but I'm so grateful everyone is sharing what works! For anyone still struggling, definitely try the early morning + mobile browser + slow typing combo. The TWC system is clearly overwhelmed during peak hours and seems much more stable in those early morning windows.

•This is such a helpful addition to all the solutions! The mobile browser approach is brilliant - I hadn't even considered that the mobile version might be more stable than desktop. And your discovery about pausing between work search entries is really smart. I've been rushing through that section trying to beat the timeout, but it makes total sense that their system needs processing time. The 60-second pause tip could be a game changer. I love that you kept a reference text file too - that's way smarter than trying to remember everything or risk copy/pasting which seems to trigger their security measures. Going to try your 5:30am + tablet + Chrome mobile + slow entry method this week. It's honestly incredible how much collective troubleshooting knowledge this thread has generated. We should all get honorary IT degrees after figuring out TWC's broken system!

Wow, this thread has been incredibly helpful! I've been dealing with the exact same issue for the past few weeks and was getting so frustrated. I tried filing my claim about 8 times over the last week and kept getting booted out at random points - sometimes during the personal info section, sometimes during work search documentation. After reading through all these amazing troubleshooting tips, I'm going to try a combination approach: early morning filing (around 6am), Edge browser in incognito mode, using my phone's hotspot instead of home WiFi, disabling my antivirus web protection temporarily, and having all my info pre-written in a notepad document. It's honestly shocking that a state unemployment system requires this level of technical wizardry just to function, but I'm so grateful for this community sharing solutions. You've all basically created a better troubleshooting guide than anything TWC provides officially! Has anyone noticed if certain days of the week work better than others? I've been trying mostly on Mondays and Tuesdays but sounds like mid-week might be less congested. Going to give it another shot tomorrow morning with all your suggestions - fingers crossed!

•Hey Malik! Based on everything I've read in this thread, I'd definitely recommend trying Wednesday through Friday instead of Mondays/Tuesdays. Several people mentioned that early in the week seems to have the heaviest traffic. Your combination approach sounds solid - the early morning + Edge incognito + hotspot + disabled antivirus seems to be the winning formula for a lot of people here. One thing I'd add based on my own experience - make sure to close absolutely everything else on your device before starting, even background apps on your phone if you're using hotspot. The TWC system seems super finicky about available resources. Also, someone mentioned typing slowly in the work search section which has been key for me. Good luck tomorrow morning - this thread has given me hope that there are actually ways to get through their broken system!

I've been dealing with this exact same issue and I'm so glad I found this thread! The TWC website has been absolutely brutal for me too - I've tried filing my claim probably 20 times over the past two weeks and keep getting kicked out at different points. Sometimes it's right at the login screen, other times I make it halfway through the work search section before getting booted back to a blank page. Reading through all your solutions has been incredibly eye-opening. I had no idea that things like VPNs, password managers, antivirus software, and even typing speed could interfere with their system. It's absolutely ridiculous that we need to become IT experts just to file for unemployment benefits we're entitled to! I'm going to try the combination that seems to work best for most people: early morning filing (around 6am), Edge browser in private mode, using my phone's hotspot instead of WiFi, temporarily disabling my antivirus web protection, closing all other tabs and background apps, and having all my info pre-written so I can type it in manually without copy/pasting. Has anyone tried using a public library computer? I'm wondering if their internet connection might be more stable than residential networks. At this point I'm willing to try anything to avoid calling TWC and sitting on hold for hours! Thanks to everyone for sharing their workarounds - this thread should honestly be pinned somewhere because TWC's website is clearly a disaster that affects way too many people.
