How long after ID.me verification will TWC release my funds?
Just completed ID.me verification this morning at 10am after receiving an email from TWC yesterday requesting it. Already been waiting 3 weeks for my benefits (applied Jan 7th) and now this extra step! My payment status was 'pending - identity verification needed' before today. Now I'm stressing about how long it'll take for TWC to actually process my verification and release my funds. Bills are due next week and I'm cutting it close. Has anyone been through this recently? How many days until they typically release the money after ID.me is complete? Thanks in advance for any insight 🙏🏻

•4 days wouldn't be too bad I guess. Was hoping it would be faster since the verification was instant on the ID.me side. Did you get an email or anything letting you know it was processed?

The official timeline is 3-5 business days for ID.me verification to process through TWC's system. They receive these in batches, not real-time. If you log into your TWC portal, check your Correspondence Inbox as they usually send a notification once verification is complete. Keep requesting your payments on your scheduled day even while waiting - that's important! If it takes longer than 5 business days, that could indicate another issue with your claim besides identity verification.

•That's really helpful, thank you! I'll keep an eye on my Correspondence Inbox and make sure to do my payment request on schedule (which is Monday). Fingers crossed it processes within the normal timeframe.

Is your claim showing any other issues besides the ID verification? Sometimes they verify your identity but then you have ANOTHER problem to fix! I had to verify with ID.me and THEN they put a work search audit on my claim and delayed everything ANOTHER 2 weeks. Check if there's anything else flagged on your claim dashboard!!

•OMG that would be a nightmare! I just checked and don't see anything else flagged right now, just the identity verification. Going to check again tomorrow to make sure nothing new pops up. Sorry you had to deal with multiple issues!

When I was struggling to get through after my ID.me verification (took them 9 days with no update), I tried Claimyr to reach an actual TWC agent. It saved my sanity! They got me through to a rep who manually updated my verification status while I was on the phone. Their site at claimyr.com has a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh. Totally worth it when you're in limbo waiting.

•ID.me isn't required for everyone. TWC selects claims for verification based on risk factors or random selection. The latest system update in December 2024 increased the number of claims requiring verification, but it's still not universal. If you weren't asked to verify during your initial claim, you likely won't need to unless something changes with your claim status.

For most claimants, TWC processes ID.me verifications within 3-5 business days as others have mentioned. However, there are a couple things you can do to help things move along: 1. Log into your TWC account daily to check status updates 2. Make sure your payment request is submitted on schedule (this is critical) 3. If it's been more than 5 business days, call TWC at 800-939-6631 between 7am-7pm 4. Check your banking information is correct in the system One thing to note - TWC doesn't count the day you verified as part of the 3-5 day processing window. So if you verified on Monday, they start counting Tuesday as day one.

•That's super detailed - thank you! I didn't realize the day of verification doesn't count in their processing timeline. I'll definitely keep up with my payment requests and double-check my banking info right now.

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!!!!!! I verified with ID.me SIX TIMES and they still kept saying they couldn't verify me. Had to go to an ACTUAL TWC OFFICE with my birth certificate, social security card, AND drivers license. Even after that it took 3 WEEKS to get paid. Don't trust their "3-5 day" timeline, it's LIES.

•That sounds extremely frustrating, but it's also very unusual. Multiple verification failures typically indicate either a technical problem with how your information was submitted or a mismatch between your submitted documents and your claim information. For most people, a single successful ID.me verification is sufficient. If anyone is experiencing repeated verification failures, you should request a callback from TWC through your portal rather than continuing to retry the verification process.

Just wanted to say good luck!! The waiting is the worst part. My funds showed up 4 days after verification completed but it was over a weekend so actually only 2 business days. Hope you get yours fast too!

•Thanks for the encouragement! Really hoping mine processes quickly too. The weekend timing is a good point - I hadn't considered how that might affect the timeline.

UPDATE: Just got the money in my account this morning! So it took exactly 3 business days after ID.me verification for everything to process and funds to be released. Thanks everyone for your help and advice!

•That's great news! Glad to hear it processed within the standard timeframe. Make sure you continue submitting your work search activities and payment requests on schedule to avoid any interruptions in future payments.
