ID.me verification completed but TWC payments still pending - normal wait time?
I finally got through the ID.me verification process for my TWC claim yesterday (what a headache that was!). My account now shows the identity verification is complete, but I'm still not seeing any payments issued to my account. Does anyone know how long it typically takes for payments to start coming through after identity verification? I've been waiting on benefits for almost 4 weeks now and my savings are nearly gone. Bills are piling up and I'm getting really anxious. The TWC website doesn't give any timeline info and I can't get through on the phone.

•Thanks! That gives me some hope. Did you have to do anything else after the verification was complete, or did the payments just start automatically?

The typical processing time after ID.me verification is 3-5 business days, but it can sometimes take up to 10 business days depending on your specific claim situation. If your claim had other issues besides identity verification (like employer response pending or work search documentation), those will need to be resolved separately. Make sure your payment request status says 'processed' and not 'pending' when you log in. Also double-check that you've been requesting payments on your assigned days even while waiting for verification to clear.

•Thanks for this info. My payment request does say 'pending' still. I've been requesting payments every two weeks like I'm supposed to. I guess I'll give it a few more days before panicking.

WHY DOES EVERYTHING WITH TWC TAKE FOREVERRRRR?!?! I had to wait almost THREE WEEKS after id.me before seeing a penny! Their system is completely broken! They expect us to pay bills while they take their sweet time processing our claims. And just wait - they'll probably hit you with some random questionnaire or "additional information needed" notice that resets the whole clock again!!!

•This is exactly why I gave up on my claim last time. Too much hassle for too little money.

After struggling with similar verification delays, I found a service called Claimyr that helped me reach a TWC agent directly. It got me connected to a real person in about 15 minutes when I'd been trying for days on my own. The agent was able to tell me exactly why my payments were held up and cleared it that same day. Definitely worth checking out if you're stuck: claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh

•I can confirm this works. Used it myself when my ID.me verification wasn't showing up in the TWC system properly. The rep was able to manually note that I'd completed verification and release my pending payments.

my brother had this happen too and turns out he had a separate issue with his work seperation that was holding everything up but he didnt know it until he got someone on phone. the idme stuff was fine but they had questions about why he left his job. check ur correspondence inbox maybe theres something there u missed?

•Oh no, I didn't even think about that possibility. I just checked my correspondence inbox and there's nothing new there, just the original claim confirmation. I really hope there's not some hidden issue!

So did you do the ID.me through your phone or computer? I tried on my phone and it kept freezing during the facial recognition part. Wondering if computer works better before I try again.

•I used my computer and it worked fine. I had to try twice because my lighting was bad the first time, but the process was smooth otherwise. I've heard the phone app can be glitchy.

Just wanted to add: it's very important to keep requesting payments on your assigned biweekly schedule even while waiting for the ID.me verification to clear. Many people make the mistake of thinking they should wait until verification is complete, but this can cause gaps in your claim. For anyone reading this in the future, always continue requesting payments according to your schedule regardless of pending issues. For the original poster: if it's been more than 10 business days since your ID.me verification completed, you should definitely try to reach a TWC agent. They may need to manually update something in your claim.

•This is good advice! I missed one payment request because I thought I had to wait for verification and they made me reactivate my whole claim. Such a headache!

UPDATE: Finally got through to TWC this morning using the Claimyr service someone recommended here (worth every penny!). Turns out there was a secondary review flag on my account that had nothing to do with ID.me. The agent was able to clear it immediately and said my payments should process within 48 hours. Just wanted to update in case anyone else faces similar issues. Don't wait as long as I did to get help!

•Exactly what I said! Always some random flag or review they don't tell you about until you waste hours getting someone on the phone. Glad you got it figured out though.

Great to hear you got it resolved! This is such a perfect example of why it's worth getting an actual person on the phone rather than just waiting and hoping. The TWC online system rarely shows you the full picture of what's holding up your claim. For anyone else reading this thread - definitely don't assume ID.me verification is the only thing that could be causing delays. There are often multiple moving parts that need to align before payments start flowing.

•This is so helpful to know! I'm dealing with a similar situation right now - completed ID.me verification last week but still no payments. After reading this thread I'm definitely not going to wait around hoping it resolves itself. Going to try that Claimyr service to get through to someone who can actually see what's going on with my claim. Thanks for sharing your experience and the update!

I'm in almost the exact same boat! Just finished my ID.me verification 3 days ago and still showing pending payments. Reading through everyone's responses here is really reassuring - sounds like 3-5 business days is pretty normal. I was starting to worry something went wrong with the verification process. The waiting is brutal when you're already stressed about finances, but at least now I know I'm not the only one dealing with these delays. Really appreciate everyone sharing their timelines and experiences!

•Same here! Just went through this whole process myself a couple weeks ago. The waiting after ID.me verification is definitely nerve-wracking, especially when you're already financially stressed. From what I've seen in this community, most people get their payments within that 3-5 day window, but there can definitely be hidden issues like what Benjamin discovered. If you don't see movement by early next week, I'd recommend trying to get through to an actual TWC rep - either through the phone marathon or one of those callback services people have mentioned. Hang in there!

Just went through this exact same situation a few weeks ago! After my ID.me verification completed, it took exactly 6 business days before I saw payments hit my account. The key thing is to keep doing your biweekly payment requests even while waiting - I almost made the mistake of skipping one thinking I should wait for verification to clear first. One thing that helped me was checking the "Payment Request Status" section in my TWC account daily. Once it switched from "pending" to "processed" I knew things were moving. If you're still seeing "pending" after a full week, that's when I'd recommend trying to get someone on the phone to check for any hidden issues like what happened with your case. The waiting is absolutely brutal when bills are due, but hang in there - sounds like you're on the right track now!

•This is really helpful info! I'm going through the same thing right now - completed ID.me verification 2 days ago and keep obsessively checking my account hoping to see some movement. It's reassuring to hear that 6 business days is still within normal range. I'll definitely keep an eye on that "Payment Request Status" section you mentioned - didn't even know to look for that specifically. The financial stress while waiting is no joke, especially when you're already struggling. Thanks for sharing your timeline and the tip about continuing payment requests!
