PA UC website glitching - can't submit weekly claim, anyone else having issues?
Is anyone else having problems with the PA unemployment website today? I'm trying to file my weekly claim and the site keeps freezing up on me. I get to the part where I answer all the questions and hit submit, then it just spins forever and eventually times out. I've tried 3 different browsers and even my phone. This is my 4th week claiming and I've never had this problem before. My rent is due next week and I'm seriously panicking. Anyone know if there's system maintenance happening or some trick to get it working?

The system is ALWAYS having issues!! I was on it this morning and had no problems filing my weekly claim, but now I'm trying to check my payment status and can't get in at all. Typical PA UC garbage - they probably broke something with their latest "update"... Try again after midnight, that's when I usually have better luck.

•Thanks for letting me know it's not just me! Will try after midnight like you suggested. Did your payment from last week come through ok? Mine is still pending from last Thursday which is making me even more anxious.

•They should warn us before doing maintenance! Some of us NEED our money to survive. This happens every few months and it's ridiculous.

I work in IT and this sounds like server overload rather than maintenance. End of the month is always busy with more people filing. Try these troubleshooting steps: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies completely 2. Use Chrome in incognito mode 3. Make sure you're going directly to www.uc.pa.gov and not through a bookmark that might have old parameters 4. Try very early morning (4-5am) when server load is lowest If none of that works, you might need to call in your weekly certification instead of doing it online.

•Thanks for these tips! I'll try the incognito mode right now. Is there a direct phone number for filing by phone? The regular UC number never connects me to anyone.

I had this exact problem last month. The website would freeze at the final submission page. I finally got through to a PA UC rep who told me they were having database issues that were affecting some accounts but not others. The only real solution was to call and have a representative file my weekly claim over the phone. If you need to reach someone quickly, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got through to a UC agent in about 12 minutes instead of spending days trying. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 Once I spoke with a rep, they were able to not only file my weekly claim but also fix whatever was wrong with my account so I could use the website again afterward.

•Yes, it worked for me twice now. Both times I got through to an actual PA UC representative in less than 15 minutes. The second time the agent stayed on the line while I filed so they could override any system errors that popped up.

Is anyone else getting a "your information does not match our records" error? I'm trying to file my weekly claim and suddenly the system doesn't recognize me even though I logged in successfully. I'm so confused and scared I'll lose my benefits. This is my first time on unemployment and I feel like I'm doing something wrong??

•That's a different error than what the original poster is describing. When you get that message, it usually means you're entering information that doesn't match what's in your initial application. Double check that you're using the exact same spelling of your name, address format, and SSN as you did when you first applied. Even small differences can trigger that error.

UPDATE: I finally got through! I followed the advice to try after midnight and it worked perfectly at 12:30am. For anyone else having this issue, definitely try during off-hours. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!

•Glad it worked! Their systems always run better when most of Pennsylvania is sleeping. I've learned to do all my UC stuff between 11pm-5am if possible. Bookmark this thread for next time the site inevitably crashes again!
