PA UC weekly filing site down? Can't access since this morning
Is anyone else having trouble accessing the PA unemployment website? I've been trying to file my weekly claim since 7am and keep getting error messages. First it was just loading forever, now I'm getting a 'site maintenance' message but it's Monday and I need to file today! Anyone know if the system is down for everyone or just me? I really don't want to miss my filing window and lose a week of benefits because their website isn't working. Should I keep trying or is there another way to file my weekly claim?

The site is definitely experiencing issues today. I just got off the phone with a rep who confirmed they're having technical difficulties with the weekly filing portal. They said it should be back up by this afternoon. Remember that you actually have all week to file (Sunday through Friday), so don't panic about missing your window. If it's still not working by Wednesday, then you might want to try filing by phone using the PAT system at 888-255-4728.

•OMG HOW did you actually get through to a real person?!? I've been calling for 2 weeks about my open issue and just get busy signals or the automated system that hangs up on me! This system is a JOKE.

•I used Claimyr to get through to a PA UC agent. It's a service that basically waits on hold for you and calls you once they have an agent on the line. Saved me hours of frustration. This happens at least once a month lately. The UC system is so outdated. Pro tip: always try to file on Sunday or early Monday. Also, clear your browser cache and try using Microsoft Edge - sometimes that works when other browsers don't. And if all else fails, you can file by phone, but be prepared to spend a lot of time navigating the automated system.

Last month when this happened they extended the filing deadline by 2 days so everyone had time to file. Hopefully they'll do the same thing this time since it's their system that's messing up not us. I'm just tired of how glitchy everything is with PA unemployment. It's like they make it difficult on purpose.

•I'm an unemployment adjudicator (I review claims), and I can confirm we do extend filing deadlines when there are verified system outages. However, I always recommend not waiting until the last day to file your weekly certification. The system allows filing from Sunday through Friday each week, so try to file earlier in the week if possible. This current outage should be resolved soon according to our IT department.
