PA UC website login issues this morning - weekly claim filing not working?

Anyone else having trouble getting into the PA UC portal this morning? I've been trying since 7AM to log in and file my weekly claim but keep getting an error message saying 'service temporarily unavailable'. Usually I file Sunday mornings with no issues. Today's my regular filing day and I'm getting worried since they're so strict about the filing window. Is the system down for everyone or just me? Don't want to miss my payment this week!

same here cant get in either... tried 3 times and now worried about getting locked out if i try again

Glad it's not just me! Any idea how long these outages usually last? This is only my 5th week filing.

The PA UC system typically does maintenance on Sunday mornings from about 6AM-9AM, but they usually post a notice about it in advance. I don't remember seeing anything about scheduled maintenance for today. If the system is having technical difficulties, they'll typically extend the filing deadline. You won't be penalized if it's a system-wide issue.

HA! They SAY that but last time this happened I had to spend 2 WEEKS calling and calling to get my payment fixed after the system issue. They NEVER give people the benefit of the doubt!! This system is a JOKE and they make it as difficult as possible to get YOUR money!!

This happens like once a month lately. I remember back in 2023 the whole system was down for like 3 days straight and everyone was freaking out. My brother said they're probably updating the system again cuz of all the new claim rules. I had to file my claim on Tuesday last month when this happened and it still processed fine.

That's partially correct. The system does undergo regular maintenance, but if you're unable to file due to a verified system outage, you won't be penalized for late filing. However, it's always best to contact the UC service center to report the issue if you miss your filing window due to technical problems. Document the date and time you attempted to file as evidence if needed.

I had this same problem a few weeks ago and ended up wasting 3 days trying to get through to someone at the UC office. Busy signals for hours! I finally used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me connected to a UC agent within 30 minutes. They have a video showing how it works here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Saved me so much frustration when I needed to verify that my late filing wouldn't affect my benefits.

Yes, it worked for me! I was skeptical too but was desperate after trying for days. They connected me to a real UC agent who fixed my issue right away.

Typical PA unemployment... system always breaks right when people need it most! I've been dealing with these glitches since January and EVERY SINGLE TIME something goes wrong with my claim. Anyone notice how these "outages" always happen right when payment processing would normally occur? Pretty convenient for them to hold onto our money an extra day or two if you ask me. 🙄

While frustrating, these outages are typically due to system maintenance or technical issues rather than deliberate delays. Payment processing actually runs on a different system than the public-facing portal. If you're experiencing recurring problems with your claim, I'd recommend requesting a callback through your dashboard or asking for a claim review. The timing of maintenance is usually planned to minimize disruption to the majority of claimants.

I just remembered this happened to me back in December too. I panicked and tried logging in like 50 times which was dumb because then my account got flagged for suspicious activity lol. Had to reset my whole PIN and everything. So word of advice don't spam the login button like I did!!

Thanks for the warning! I only tried twice before posting here. Glad I didn't keep trying or I might have locked myself out too!
