Is the PA UC website down? Can't access my account since this morning

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the PA unemployment website today? I've been trying to login since 7am to file my weekly claim and keep getting a 'service unavailable' message. Usually I can get in no problem, but it's been down all morning. My benefit payment day is tomorrow so I need to file today! Anyone know if they're doing maintenance or if there's some other issue? Or is it just me?

I just tried logging in and it's working for me right now. Sometimes the PA UC website has scheduled maintenance early mornings or late evenings. They rarely announce it beforehand. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then restart your browser. That usually fixes it for me when I have access problems.

Thanks for checking! I'll try clearing my cache. It's weird because my roommate could login on her account but I still can't on mine.

The system can experience localized outages where some users can access it and others can't. Try these troubleshooting steps: 1. Try a different browser 2. Clear all cookies and cache 3. Disable any VPN if you're using one 4. Try on a different device If none of these work, it could be an account-specific issue rather than a full system outage. The PA UC system sometimes puts random security holds on accounts that require verification.

Thanks for the detailed suggestions! I tried a different browser and it worked!!! No idea why Chrome was having issues but Edge worked fine. Phew, got my weekly claim filed with hours to spare 😅

The PA unemployment website is THE WORST!! It crashes CONSTANTLY and then when you call you can't get through to anyone!! I was locked out for 3 weeks last month and almost lost my apartment because my payments were delayed!!

Calling PA UC is a nightmare for sure. I had similar issues and spent DAYS trying to get through. I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get connected to an agent within 30 minutes instead of calling for days. You can see how it works in their video demo: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Saved me so much stress when I needed to resolve an issue with my account that couldn't be fixed online.

Is anyone else getting an error saying "verification required" after logging in? I can get to the login screen but then get stuck on an endless loading screen after entering my PIN. Been like this since yesterday, but worked fine last week when I filed.

That's a different issue. Sounds like you might need to complete ID verification. Check your dashboard or correspondence section for any notices about IDme verification requirements. They sometimes require random security verifications throughout your benefit year.

UPDATE: Got in using Microsoft Edge instead of Chrome! Filed my weekly claim successfully. If anyone else is having trouble, try a different browser!

Chrome has been having compatibility issues with the PA UC site lately. I've noticed it works better with Edge or Firefox. For future reference, if you ever get completely locked out and can't resolve it with browser switching, you can also try using an incognito/private browsing window - sometimes that bypasses whatever cached data is causing the problem. Glad you got your claim filed on time!

Thanks for the tip about incognito mode! I'll definitely keep that in mind for next time. It's so frustrating when technology decides to not cooperate right when you need it most. At least now I know to try different browsers first before panicking about missing the filing deadline.

I've been having similar browser compatibility issues with the PA UC site lately! Chrome seems to be the worst offender - I've had to switch to Firefox for filing my weekly claims. It's so annoying that we have to troubleshoot basic website access just to get our benefits. The PA system really needs to invest in better web development. At least there's usually a workaround with different browsers, but not everyone knows to try that when they're panicking about missing deadlines.
