I've been expecting my KeyBank card for my unemployment benefits for about 10 days now. Getting paranoid that I might have accidentally thrown it away with junk mail. For those who've received it recently - does the envelope look like anything special? Is it marked as being from the Department of Labor or KeyBank? Or does it come in a plain white envelope that could easily be mistaken for junk? I'm checking my mail super carefully now but worried I might have missed it already. My mailbox is always stuffed with random credit card offers and I sometimes toss things without looking carefully.

Got let go from my job due to downsizing back on August 23, 2022. Filed my unemployment claim online right away on August 26. It's now October 30 and still haven't received a single payment - not even backdated money. I've been faithfully certifying every week on Sundays as required. I did get an official letter about 3 weeks after applying saying I'd be receiving $554 weekly. My family is struggling bad with only my spouse's income coming in and bills piling up. Credit card is maxed out and rent is coming due again. Anyone else dealing with this kind of delay or know what I should do? The waiting is making me crazy.

Been waiting for my backpay docusigns to come through since getting approved. Finally got my first payment this week after filing back in June 2022. Working barely 12 hours a week currently and expecting a baby next month. Money is super tight right now. Anyone know if I can call and get the backpay process sped up? How long did it take for others to get their backpay docs processed? Could really use that money before the holidays and before my little one arrives. This wait is killing me financially.

I just checked my email this morning and found a message from the ny unemployment department saying that my account might have been compromised! The email said there was suspicious activity on my claim dated April 17th, but I haven't filed anything since February when I lost my job due to the restaurant closing. Called the fraud department number on the email about 20 times today and couldn't get through to a human being. The automated system just tells me to go to the website and fill out a form, but when I log in to my account it says everything is fine with no alerts showing. I'm worried someone is stealing my benefits or even worse, my identity! Has anyone else gotten one of these messages lately? What should I do? I really need my unemployment money to pay rent next week and I'm scared they're going to freeze my account.

I've been getting the runaround for over two months now. My payments suddenly stopped in February after receiving them normally since November. Every time I call NY unemployment, I get regular agents who just tell me my case needs management review but they can't transfer me. I've been told five different stories about why my money is held - first it was identity verification, then it was employment history review, then 'system glitch', then 'adjudication needed', and now 'quarterly review'. I've uploaded every document they've asked for through their portal. My rent is already late and I'm about to lose my apartment. I've called at least 23 times in the past three weeks, waited on hold for hours each time, only to be told 'a manager will call you back' - which never happens. Has anyone actually gotten through to management or found a way to get held payments released? I'm desperate at this point.
