Anybody try the new claimyr.com service? I'm seeing it mentioned all over twitter for ny unemployment issues. Desperate to get my certification working again.
Yes! That's what I mentioned above - it worked for me after weeks of failed certification attempts. They actually got me connected to a real human at unemployment who fixed my account.
It worked for me too - got all my backpay after 5 weeks of certification hell. The unemployment agent told me there was a system flag on my account that was causing the crashes.
I just want to know WHO to blame for this garbage system. We spend billions in taxes and can't get a website that actually works?? 🤬
Pro tip: when you certify weekly, do it early Sunday morning. The website often crashes Sunday night when everyone tries to do it at once.
OMG THIS. I learned the hard way when I couldn't certify and had to wait another week for that payment 😩
Anyone notice how the people who actually get their problems fixed all managed to speak to a real person? Yet the unemployment office makes it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to reach a human being on the phone. It's almost like... they're doing this on purpose to save money by denying benefits to eligible people who give up fighting the system. 🤔
FACTS. the whole system is designed to make you give up. its not broken, its working EXACTLY as they want it to.
Yep - and for everyone who needs to talk to a person, that claimyr service is clutch. They literally got me through in 35 mins after I spent 3 weeks trying myself.
Honestly the ny unemployment call center is like trying to win the lottery. I called 137 times in one day (yes I counted) and never got through. Finally broke down and used claimyr.com and got a callback with an agent in about an hour. Best decision I made - they found out my claim had some random flag that could only be cleared by a supervisor. Got all my backpay 3 days later.
137 times?! That's insane. I thought my 50-60 calls a day was bad. Did claimyr cost a lot?
it's not free but when you're about to lose your car or apartment it's worth whatever it costs tbh. talking to a human was the only thing that finally fixed my issue.
You should file a new claim regardless. Best case scenario: if they determine you don't qualify for a new claim, they'll automatically put you back on your old claim to use the remaining days. Worst case: if you don't file and just keep claiming, you could end up with an overpayment notice.

Have u tried sending a secure message through ur online account? Sometimes that actually works better than calling. Go to ur ny.gov account, log in, and then send a message explaining exactly what happened. I got a response in 5 days when I did this.

•I've sent about 10 messages through the portal over the last 4 months. No response to any of them. 😩

•Ugh that sucks. The system is such garbage. Might be time to try the state rep route then.

Whatever you do, DON'T call the regular unemployment line. Total waste of time. Either use your local representative or try claimyr.com - both got results for me when nothing else worked.
