Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. did u try the trick where u press 1-1-1-3-2-2 when the automated system starts? It worked for me to reach a person back in June.

Your claim is probably in the 'pending purgatory' because of the side gig you mentioned. They have to determine if you're eligible for regular UI or need to go through a different system. Without talking to someone, it'll just sit there forever. I was in the same situation and used claimyr.com to get through - fixed my issue in one call after waiting over 3 months. Hope this helps!

i know this sounds weird but try tweeting at NYSDOL. their social media team actually responds and can sometimes escalate cases. worked for my sister.
I've seen this work too! They hate the public embarrassment so social media complaints get priority treatment 😂

I'm an accountant who's helped several clients with ny unemployment issues. Here's what I've learned: the DOL is severely understaffed and dealing with unprecedented fraud. 90% of these delays are due to automated fraud prevention holds that require manual review. The ONLY solution is getting through to a human agent who has authority to override these holds. Regular call center people often don't have this authority - you need a tier 2 specialist.
How do you get a tier 2 specialist specifically? The regular agents just tell me to wait...

•When you get a regular agent, specifically state "I believe my claim has a fraud hold that needs a specialist review." They usually transfer you. Don't take no for an answer.

Don't give up! After 14 weeks of nothing I finally got all $6,900 of my backpay in one lump sum 💰 keep claiming every week even though it feels pointless. When they finally fix whatever is holding it up, you'll get everything owed.

pro tip: call EXACTLY at 7:59:50am so that you're already on the line when they open at 8am. Still not guaranteed but way better odds of getting through. Thats how I finally reached a human after 2 weeks of trying.
This doesn't work anymore. Everyone knows this trick now so the lines are jammed at 8am. Better to try around 10:30am or after 3:30pm when volume drops a bit.

Anyone else notice if you call at weird hours like 4:30 PM you sometimes have better luck? Everyone calls first thing in the morning or at lunch but mid-afternoon seems to have shorter waits sometimes.

If you have a complex issue, I highly recommend documenting EVERYTHING and preparing exactly what you're going to say before you call. When I finally got through, I had about 3 minutes to explain my situation before they helped me.
